I neglected last week to offer a word of welcome to our new Associate Pastor Robbie Boyd. He s off to a great start and we re so glad to have him serving our family.

11:05 CHAPEL SERVICE THIS PAST SUNDAY If you attended the chapel service this past Sunday, please accept my apologies for our technical issues.

For those who don t know, we had a technical problem related to the screen changes that resulted in my portion of the service having no sound. We ll get it right!

It begins on Wednesday, Feb 14 and runs through Easter. Remember, I ve challenged each of us to choose something and deprive ourselves of it for the duration.

No, but if we choose deliberately to make it so, we ll find ourselves preparing for Easter each time we want what we re fasting from by acknowledging our deepest need is for Christ s fullness.

In the meantime, let s look forward to Easter! MILESTONES ON MY PATH Beginning this week, we re launching a new sermon series entitled Milestones on my path.

On behalf of our ministry team, let me assure you we ll be working hard to make sure that doesn t happen again. I ll be joining you this Sunday in the chapel to make sure we get to talk this week! A DELIBERATE CHOICE Usually, this arrives in your hands, dear FBC family member, on Thursdays. This week, however, is no normal week! We re starting our season of preparing for Easter this week! It begins on Wednesday, Feb 14 and runs through Easter. Remember, I ve challenged each of us to choose something and deprive ourselves of it for the duration. Does that guarantee anything other than crankiness? No, but if we choose deliberately to make it so, we ll find ourselves preparing for Easter each time we want what we re fasting from by acknowledging our deepest need is for Christ s fullness. I invite you to join us in this journey. If you didn t begin on Wednesday, then start now. If you have to break your fast, don t just quit - start it again as soon as possible. In the meantime, let s look forward to Easter! MILESTONES ON MY PATH Beginning this week, we re launching a new sermon series entitled Milestones on my path. From now until Palm Sunday, we ll be using Psalms , known to King David as The Song of Ascents. These were songs sung by the pilgrims traveling to Jerusalem. No matter where you started, it was always regarded as up to Jerusalem. Our journey will take us over FBC SUNDAY SCHOOL TRAINING This is a one-night training event this Sunday, February 18 for all Sunday School leadership. Directors, get your teachers, co-teachers, Membership Specialist, outreach/inreach directors, Fellowship Directors, and care group leaders to all be there. We will have dinner at 5:00, then training from 6:00-8:00pm. The training will be featuring experts from the BGCT. For more info contact Cindy at or ceoff@fbc-midland.org.
