HEAR A HOLOCAUST SURIVOR AT FBC - A RARE OPPORTUNITY On September 4th, we have a wonderful and rare opportunity. Through the kindness of Chevron, we have the opportunity to host Mr Jerry Rawicki, Holocaust survivor and former resident of Warsaw, Poland. In 2013, Mr Rawicki returned to Warsaw to revisit his wartime experiences. A film was produced, Behind the Wall, following Mr Rawicki. Given how few of these survivors are still alive, this is a wonderful opportunity and a rare one. The video will be shown and Mr Rawicki will speak and take questions. I plan to bring my son he may never have this opportunity again. Meet us Tuesday night, September 4th at 6:30 PM. MISSIONS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED IMMEDIATELY Our English as a Second Language ministry (ESL) needs some servants! If you speak English and have a passion for people, this is a ministry for you! Meeting on Tuesday nights during the school year, this opportunity reaches not only Spanish speakers but also some who speak Chinese! This is one of the most effective and international ministries we have! I want to challenge you to ask the same question I asked last week: What are you waiting for to serve the Lord? If you re waiting for a sign, THIS IS IT! The need is here and the need is now! Pray with me that the Lord will send people to meet this need and maybe it s you the Lord wants to send! Our directories should be ready by October 1st. It will also be a help to those who are in a blended family, those contemplating marriage again, and singles contemplating marriage. Even if children are no longer in the home or are grown, the challenges of two people coming together are different than a first marriage. Scholarship for Children w/ Autism - Program Ending The MARC organization will cease collecting scrap paper at FBC on September 15, At that time they will collect the bins which have been in place at our church.
