2 Welcome to the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Feast of the Epiphany Family Promise Thank you from the parish to all the volunteers who helped with the two families who were here through Family Promise. You helped to provide comfort by sharing your time and loving care with them. Theresa Zimmerman and Mary Lou Madden have done a superb job in coordinating all the activities involved with Family Promise. We are so grateful to them for helping to provide such a needed service to families. Mary Lou, we are so grateful for your generous gift of service and time in assisting Theresa in getting this program off the ground in our parish. Your skills and talents have helped to make this a worthwhile and successful ministry for us. Thank you, Mary Lou! 3 Calendars for 2018 Calendars for the new year are available at the church entrances. There are two different versions. Please take one calendar per family for now. More might be available later. Faith in Action Update As a parish we continue to climb towards our goal, and we are excited to report that we have achieved roughly 90% of our Faith in Action goal! Thank you to all who have already donated. We re almost there! If you are considering a donation to aid the parish in achieving this goal, we thank you for your desire to participate in this collaboration as a parish. It takes a community to make it happen! CGS News Wishing all our families a Holy and Blessed Epiphany. We will be blessing the CGS Atria after the 11:00 mass. If your children would like to participate, please send them down to the Atria after mass. Then join us for the blessing around 12:45. (Reminder: NO CGS sessions today). Please pick up a home blessing kit in the back of the church! They will be available after all the weekend Masses. Friends of the Shrine Dinner All are invited to join the Shrine Board for an evening of friendship and fellowship! The date: Saturday, January 20th, 2018 The time: 6:45 p.m. Immediately following the 5:30 Mass The place: St. Paul s Parish Hall Is there a cost? The Shrine Board suggests a free will offering for dinner There will be a dessert auction and a silent auction, as well as updates on coming events at the Shrine. Please feel free to bring your friends and family! High School Youth Group Our High School Youth Group meets at the JPII Lodge every Sunday from 6:45-8:15pm. Join us for dinner, games and a talk! Young Adult Group Looking to vibrantly live your faith with other young adults in Juneau? The young adult group meets every Tuesday at 6:30pm at a variety of locations around town. Second Annual Formal Gala Catholic Community Service This year s Gala, Classy & Sassy, will be an evening to remember!
