6 Weekly Announcements Chapel Concert Series Joybell Kristine Stout Handbell Soloist On January 23 at 7:00 p.m., Chapel proudly presents Kristine Stout, handbell soloist as our next Chapel concert performer. Kristine has her own special style of solo ringing that is sure to over-whelm your musical senses. Kristine is one of only a handful of professional soloists in the United States. She has produced 8 CDs and a DVD/video presentation called The Joybell Show. Please see the flyers in the Narthex for more information. Study Group Solomon's Porch" Adult Study group started on January 7. It will be held every Tuesday at 3:00 p.m., in Room 4 (Session Room) of Silver Hall. Richard Rohr's book, Falling Upward, will be used for the study...available in the church office at the Amazon price of $12 (regular retail, $19.99). Chapel s Toy Drive for Children Thank you to all who donated toys for Chapel s Toy Drive for Children. A trunkload of toys was collected and delivered. Due to your generosity and caring, there were many happy and appreciative faces on Christmas morning. SIS (Sisters In Spirit) SIS will meet this Tuesday, January 14, at 10 a.m. here at Chapel in Room 4. The program will be on "Displaying God's Gifts", given by Julia Palmer. She will be showing how to make miniature arrangements using shells, twigs and the items around us. Materials will be provided. Afterwards, we will have lunch at Island Pancake House. SIS is open to all Chapel women and guests. Any questions call Anita Turner at (239) Mission Expedition to Immokalee Join us this Wednesday, January 15, for a day of information about the hard working Immokalee farm workers. We will depart from Chapel at 9:15 a.m. and return around 3:30 p.m. We'll begin our day with an information session at the Coalition of Immokalee Workers office followed by a walking tour of the area to include a visit to local housing. We'll come back to the coalition office for lunch and a question and answer period with Claire Comiskey, the Coordinator of Interfaith Action. From there, we'll move on for a session with the pastor of Mision Peniel, Miguel Estrada. If time allows, we'll stop at the Immokalee market before heading home.
