This allows enough time for the required preparation. Godparents must be at least 16, confirmed, and obtain a Sponsor Certificate from their own Catholic parish. The date for the Baptism is scheduled after attending the Parent Preparation Program. To begin the process, call Sue at EPIPHANY This is our feast. This is the celebration of Jesus made manifest to the Gentiles as represented by the three magi. It shows that the Gentiles are coheirs with the Jews in God s promises. The date of the Epiphany of Our Lord used to be January 6th, but it was moved to the first Sunday after January first. In many countries this is the day on which gifts are exchanged, remembering the gifts given by the magi. Some even call it Little Christmas, although that name refers to different days and dates in different cultures. If you are new to our parish, or a guest visiting, welcome!
