2 2017 CAMP WORKERS Rev. Rick Hutchison returns to Richland from Lenoir City, TN with more than 45 yrs. spent in active pastoral, Christian education and evangelistic ministry. His ministry has included more than 40 denominations and Christian organizations in the U.S. and abroad, and has included camps, revivals, evangelistic services, and high school and college campuses. Married 43 years to his wife Joan (who has a private music studio where she teaches piano and voice), they have two married sons. One is a missionary in the Philippines, the other a pilot with the 134th Aerial Refueling Wing, Tenn. Air National Guard. Rev. Paul Kaufmann returns to Richland from Salem, OH. Married 45 years to his wife Pearl (An RN who's worked numerous places, especially enjoying working with the Amish babies and mothers of Holmes County, OH), they have two daughters and one granddaughter. One daughter is an RN in Kentucky, the other a college history professor. He has an degree from Allegheny Wesleyan College, M.A. in Jewish Studies from Baltimore Hebrew University, a Master's Degree and a Doctorate from Antietam Biblical Seminary, and a Masters in Sacred Theology from Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg. He has taught at numerous colleges and universities, and continues to do so, along with taking evangelistic meetings and preaching regularly at the West Palm Beach Chinese Chapel. Jerry Lambeth President Platform Manager Richland Camp, one of the oldest Holiness Camps in the state, has always stood for the high standards of the true holiness people, and we have no desire or intention of lowering our standards. Our rules require that all people staying on the Camp Grounds are to comply with the rules of the camp. OUR CAMP STANDARD No cooking or fires of any kind allowed in the dormitories. No smoking on the grounds. Televisions and movies are not allowed on the grounds. Dogs and cats cannot be brought on the grounds or permitted to occupy trailers, tents, or cottages. Nothing is to be sold or distributed on the grounds except through the office or book store. Children are to be in the tabernacle or their cabin/room during services. Ladies, wearing of shorts, pants or mini-skirts by those rooming on the camp premises is prohibited. Men are requested to wear shirts and pants, and ladies to wear hose. 5 A CHILD S PERSPECTIVE I think that it s fun. I think they make good food. I think the cabins are nice and pretty. I like Children s Meeting. I like church. That s all I like. Ben B(6) The first thing that comes to mind are the mosquito bites! It wouldn t be camp without them! I look forward to knowing (or figuring out) what the theme is going to be for Children s Meeting. I like field day and memorizing scripture, too. Oh, don t forget the dining hall they have good food! Seeing friends. Sarah B. (11) My favorite part of camp was riding bikes with Eain and spending time with my friends. Raymie C.(7) I like to help clean the cabins to get them ready for camp, playing with Allison, Michaela and Emma, eating pickles at the dining hall and catching toads, but I like Children s Meeting the most. Carissa L.(5) I like Richland Camp because I can learn about God. I also like it because it is fun and I can play with my friends. The 3rd reason why I like Richland Camp is because on some days I can play volleyball. To me Richland Camp is a nice place to worship and talk about God and it is a nice place to hang out and have fun. Skylynn K.(11) I can stay at camp all day and play with my friends in the playhouse. I play in Grandma s cabin and take naps. Children s Meeting is very cool; I love it really very much. Emma M.(3) I like going to Richland Camp; you get to see people, play games and talk to God. There are preachers that are good there and we raise money to make things better at Church camp. Church camp is made for fun with family and friends, and to open our hearts to God. This is why I like church camp. Brooke U.(11) I like playing with Malachi in the secret fort that no one knows about except Ethan, Ben & Malachi. I like being with Joanna and the dining hall because it has great food that they make. I like Children s Meeting; usually all of the verses you have to do are easy and fun. Eain B.(9) My favorite part of camp was playing with Carissa. Allyson C.(5) My favorite thing about Richland Camp is Children s Meeting, playing with Eain, Raymie and Ben at the fort, catching tree frogs and eating breakfast at the dining hall, if it s french toast. Malachi L.(7) Richland Camp is a place where I can play volleyball, work in the dining hall, be with my friends and family. A place where I can stay up late, go to church, children s meeting and have fun being a kid. Michaela (12)
