(PLEASE OBSERVE A MOMENT OF SILENCE WHILE THE BELL IS RUNG) CONFESSION and FORGIVENESS P: Our God is amazing! He created us and all of creation. He provides us with everything we need. He s given us the gift of eternal life. Yet still we have times of doubt; too many times we don t reflect on His great love. So now let us take some time to admit all of our sins and doubts to our Heavenly Father. All: Heavenly Father, we give You thanks and praise for all of Your blessings. Yet we wonder How can all of this be true? Strengthen us in our times of doubting and weakness. Forgive us for all of the times we ve sinned against You and others in our thoughts, words or deeds. Silent Reflection P: Listen to this good news. Nothing will ever be able to separate you from the love of God that is in Jesus Christ our Lord. As you have freely and honestly confessed your sins to God our Father, He has heard them and has removed them as far as the East is from the West. That is His promise of love and forgiveness to you. You are loved. You are forgiven. 1

Upon what faith shall we stand? Upon what hope can we keep on trusting? All: The One true faith! For we believe in God the Father Almighty, who created all things. We believe in Jesus Christ His Son, who died for our sins and rose from the grave giving us the promise of eternal life. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life! He calls us, gathers us from the ends of the earth, works in us this one true faith, that we may live as Kingdom people and share our faith with others. We stand firm on this faith, confident in our belief, for our God is faithful. Amen and Amen. 5 Zion Lutheran School, Seymour, is seeking candidates for Principal to administer and coordinate all early childhood programs. If you have a name, know someone who is qualified, or would like to apply for the position, contact Zion Lutheran Church office at or at zlc@zionseymour.org. Lutheran Community Home is hosting its annual Fall Bake sale on Friday, November 6 th beginning at 9 AM in the Social Room. The Gift Tree gift shop will also be open for their Christmas Open House. Proceeds from the bake sale will benefit the resident activity fund. If you are interested in donating any baked goods, please contact Julie or Anita at Thrivent will be matching the proceeds raised. Veterans Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11, On November 11, 2015, Trinity Lutheran High School will host its Fifth Annual Veterans Day Program to honor the men and women who have faithfully served our nation. The program will begin at 10:00 A.M. and conclude by 11:00 A.M. with a reception following for our guests and veterans. Our keynote speaker is Rev. Michael Frese, who was stationed in Afghanistan as a military chaplain in the U.S. Army. In February 2014, he received the Purple Heart, a combat decoration given to those wounded in battle, for injuries sustained during his deployment in He currently serves as base chaplain at the 122 nd Fighter Wing of the Indiana Air National Guard and associate pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. In addition to recognizing the role played by chaplains throughout military history, we will especially commemorate the 70 th anniversary of the end of World War II during the program. The Trinity choir and band will be performing a variety of patriotic songs, including arrangements for bells and chimes. Trinity Lutheran High School is proud to host this event and welcomes the community at large, especially veterans and their families who have served or are serving. NOW HIRING -- Zion Lutheran School is looking for individuals interested in the position of part-time extend care (daycare) assistants. The starting wage rate is $8.25/hour and the amount of time worked can range from hours per week. An applicant must be a high school graduate and, while not required, daycare provider experience is a plus. Trinity Lutheran High School s annual musical is back for another season. This year the students will be performing the beloved Lerner and Loewe musical My Fair Lady from Thursday, November 5, through Sunday, November 8. Performances begin at 7:00 P.M. each evening with an additional matinee performance on Sunday at 3:00 P.M. Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased through the school office in person at 7120 N. County Rd. 875 E. in Seymour or ordered by phone at Trinity Lutheran High School is having their annual fruit sale from October 12 th November 11 th. New Products include cheesecakes and pineapples. 6 Butter Braids - Help support the Trinity English Expedition group and sign up for a tasty treat at the same time! Students and adults planning on traveling to England in 2016 will be selling Butter Braids from October 19 through November 9. Each pastry costs $13 or $14 and makes a yummy dessert or breakfast for an entire family. Be sure to look for our travelers selling these treats this month or contact the office to place your order! Ladies aid #3 of Immanuel Lutheran Church is celebrating its 33 rd annual hand craft show on Nov. 7 from 9 am to 3 pm in both gyms of Immanuel Lutheran School. Light lunch is available. All profits go to fund various organizations and causes. St. John s Lutheran Church (Sauers) will have their annual Ham & Turkey Supper & Ladies Aid Bazaar, Sunday, November 1st. Serving is from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Carryout meals will be available. Freewill offering. A Prayer Group is now available immediately following worship at the front of the sanctuary. If you have anything that you would like to bring forward to cover in prayer or just feel the need to meet with God please come to the altar and pray with friends that want to pray with you. If you would like to help lead prayers please join us as well. And as always we ask that you keep Peace and all its ministries in your prayers!
