In some parts of England, it is the practice to visit one s mother on this special day. Other people mark the day by visiting the cathedral or mother church of the diocese. In the western church it is the custom to relax some of the disciplines of Lent on this Sunday. Please join us this morning as we mark Mothering Sunday by giving a flower to the ladies & enjoying Simnel cake.
