We acknowledge and pay our respects to their elders past, present and emerging and to Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders with us today. FAREWELL TO CANON DR JILL FIRTH After five years as an Assistant Priest at St Paul's, Canon Dr Jill Firth will be moving from the pulpit to the pew to worship at her local parish church with her husband, Archdeacon Len Firth. She remains a full-time lecturer in Old Testament studies at Ridley Melbourne. Thank you for your leadership here at St Paul's, Jill! We have an opportunity to thank her for her ministry here at a special morning tea on Sunday 3 February after the 9am service. DEAN'S VERGER PETER DWYER RETIRES After 21 years of service, Dean's Verger Peter Dwyer is hanging up his cassock. Peter will retire at the end of this month but intends to remain a volunteer at the Cathedral. We give thanks for his ministry and service, and wish him well for his retirement! Cathedral colleagues will join in celebrating his long service on 30 January.
