2 In memory of Marie Costello Requested by Costello Family In memory of Jack Burke Requested by Mary Burke COLD WEATHER IS ON ITS WAY Anyone in need of winter cost or clothing or perhaps you wish to donate winter clothing to help those in need, please call Eileen at FASHION SHOW We are most grateful to our parishioners who so generously donated to the Fashion Show October 4th. All who attended were very enthusiastic. The evening was a reunion evening A chance to meet and greet friends of longstanding. We are especially grateful to Fran Amendola s endless energy and enthusiasm. She is the heart & soul of the Fashion show. Thanks not only to those who attended but also to everyone who purchased raffle tickets prior to the Fashion Show as well as during the evening. Our profit was $2, A check will be presented to Fr. Bill for parish needs. God Bless St. Augustine families & friends. Note: SAVE the DATE Thursday, December 13th Catholic Big Sisters Pot Luck Christmas Dinner Do you suffer from celiac disease and can t receive the body of Christ at Sunday mass because the host is made of gluten? The church has your solution. There are communion hosts that are available to you that are almost 100% free of gluten. If you wish to receive holy communion with a gluten free host, come to the sacristy and ask the priest, deacon or HS sacristan for a gluten free host to be consecrated. It will be separated from all other hosts and given to you separately in its own container (pyx). We hope this announcement makes the sacrament of holy communion more available to you in the coming months. Our blood drive on Sunday, October 21st registered 45 donors, 8 were deferred, 32 donated whole blood and 5 donated double red cell units on the ALYX machines (each count as 2) for a total of 42 units. Our parish averages 57 registered donors and 47 units collected since 2014 statistics. Consistency is our friend. Thanks to all who participated in this drive. THANK YOU Our 30 to Help 1 project has reached its goal. This goal was reached by projecting full payments at the end of one year. Much thanks to all those families who donated to this important project. We received full donations, partial donations and monthly donations. Donations are always welcomed to our St. Vincent de Paul Society. This society helps families with many different needs.
