4 INTECESSORY PRAYERS The Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time, Cycle B Priest: Knowing that the Lord has done great things for us, we turn now to God with our prayers and petitions. Response: Lord, hear our prayer! For the Church, that, like Bartimaeus, we may see with the eyes of faith and follow more closely on the way of our Savior, we pray to the Lord. For all nations, that their leaders commit to resolving conflicts peacefully without resorting to belligerent aggression, we pray to the Lord For those who must cope with the results of violence in their daily lives, for police officers, paramedics, emergency room workers, and social workers, that they may be consoled, we pray to the Lord. For all ordained priests on this Priesthood Sunday, that their ministry may be fruitful and rewarding, we pray to the Lord... For all who have died, and for the intentions of this Mass, Earnestine Boutte, Mildred Clement, Elacy Junious, John Poullard, Jr., J. D. and Ella Mae Moore, and Christian Uzoh, may they rejoice in the mercy of God, we pray to the Lord... For all the prayers that we hold in the silence of our hearts for all our intentions spoken and unspoken,. [pause for 10 seconds]; we pray to the Lord.. Priest: Generous God, you have guided us in our journeys, consoled us in our hardships, and gathered us in when we have been lost. We are filled with joy. Listen to our needs today and grant them through your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
