3 Faith & Family Formation ~B O W ~ Suggested text for faith sharing: Today s Gospel 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time W O 9, 2016 T : We are Eucharistic people. We live in praise and thanksgiving. S O : L W Listen carefully to the Gospel of this week. What image in this story strikes you most forcefully? What word or phrase caught your ear? Q C : Make up a prayer which tells God you are thankful for everything you have, even if it s not all you want. Q Y : Only one of the lepers returned to give thanks. This past week, when have you stopped to thank someone for something good they have done for you? When have you thanked God this week? Q A : What are some ways you can think of to show gratitude to God? Make them concrete and real. Call Ray Bsarany The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults-RCIA The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is meant for those who: - have never been baptized but are curious about Christ and all He taught; - have been baptized in other Christian traditions, but have an interest in Catholics and the Catholic Church; - are already baptized Catholic but have never received Eucharist and/or Confirmation. These are the people the Rite of Christian Initiation seeks to reach and to serve. We are accepting enrollment for the session. The session starts in the Fall and candidates receive the sacraments at the Easter Vigil in April. Perhaps you know someone who may have questions about the faith, the process of RCIA, or a desire to be received into the Church. Think about it, pray about it, and offer an invitation. Anyone interested is asked to contact Andrea Henry, RCIA Coordinator at aphenryrcia@gmail.com or call Baptism We Welcome our Recently Baptized to our Parish Community: Sawyer William Matlaga son of Shannon & Daniel ~~~~~~~~~~ Braxton William Turner son of Kristy & Clyde ~~~~~~~~~~~ Carolynn Rose Yund daughter of Alexis & Gary Public Square Rosary Rally SAVE THE DATE! 4 GRAND-Parenting Ministry T GRAND- M extends an invitation to all grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles and sponsors interested in learning how to speak about the Good News and the beauty of our Catholic faith to all members of their families and attend the six week program. The goal of this ministry is to share the faith at home and across the generations, that is, to build faith in our families by learning the teachings of the Church, living what God has shown to be true, and helping others to do the same. It is a great opportunity to energize each other so that we may take a more active role in the Church ministry of evangelizations in our families and in our parish community. The Catholic GRAND-parenting ministry will begin on Thursday, October 13th. This six week program will meet on Thursdas at 10:30am until noon in the church Trustees room.
