Over 50% of children with incarcerated parents never visit their parent in prison. 95% of all inmates are released. New Mexico spends $330/day to incarcerate one juvenile ($120,000/year) Crafts If current trends continue: 1 in 15 Americans will be incarcerated in their lifetime. 7 of 10 children of prisoners will be imprisoned.
