1 Southwest Association First Congregational Church UCC, Battle Creek, Michigan The First Congregational Church UCC of Battle Creek will be holding their ReVision action summit starting Sunday, April 24 th at 11am to move towards a brighter future for everyone in the church. Over the past few months, the church has been discerning God s will for us in community together. Small groups would meet regularly, and a Convergence Summit was held in January to generate ideas for the potential areas of growth to focus on. Teams were created at the summit to create positive proposals including the various ideas. These ideas, generated by months of building relationships and discerning God s will together about what passions, skills, and gifts our faith communities have to offer will all be presented during the upcoming ReVision Action Summit.

2 West Area Covenant Association First Congregational UCC, Bay City, Michigan The First Congregational UCC of Bay City is extending its reach in the community through other programs outside of the traditional church services. Using assets found within their church, the First Congregational UCC of Bay City holds weekly yoga classes, Spanish classes and several 12-step groups meeting different days of the week. Opening their doors more often to more people has left a profound impact in the church and in the community.

3 Southeast Area Eastern Association St. Matthew UCC, Casco, Michigan St. Matthew UCC of Casco opens their doors for the community to enjoy Euchre Card parties. This is a great way to engage the community, and create a fun environment inside of the church. Event dates are always posted in The Times Herald of Port Huron, and all are welcome to come play.

4 Grand West Association United Church, Big Rapids, Michigan The children and youth of The United Church of Big Rapids made friendship bread, which was and will continue to be delivered to shut-ins throughout the winter and spring months. Many thanks to Deb Ducat for spearheading that meaningful project! This project proves a powerful point to the kids, and also provides for the community in a meaningful way.

5 Southwest Association First Congregational Church, Coloma, Michigan The First Congregational Church of Coloma is beginning to make plans for growing season 2016 in its Community Garden. The garden helps to provide fresh vegetables for the North Berrien Food Pantry located at the United Methodist Church. This is an easy and incredible way for the church to extend a positive reach into the community.

6 United Northern Association Zion UCC, Brutus, Michigan Men s breakfast will on April 9 th at 9am at Zion UCC of Brutus. This is a free event open to the public aimed to get the community together, and to broaden the horizons of the Zion UCC church in Brutus, Michigan. If you are in the area, come check it out for free fellowship with other adult men over a hearty breakfast meal.
