2 The Easter season is upon us. The week before Easter (April 14 th ) we are hosting the Easter Egg Hunt at 2PM. You have helped us prepare over 12,000 eggs! We still need helpers in a variety of posts to get people where they need to be and to pass out prizes. We will have a great time and a great witness in our community. In addition to serving our community we will be having several opportunities to celebrate our faith in meaningful ways. We will be having Maundy Thursday Communion Services on Thursday April 18 th at 6PM in the fellowship hall. On Good Friday we will be having a twelve hour prayer vigil from 8 AM to 8 PM. We will use this time to pray for the church and all prayer requests. This event will be in the chapel. Sign up sheets will be out for the next two weeks. Our Easter services will be at the normal times. I am hopeful this will be an encouraging time for your faith and for the church. Easter is a good time to invite a friend. On the lighter side of life, I want to thank everyone for their encouragement following my surgery. I wasn t expecting the surgery to be that big of deal (it was not) yet the recovery has not been as fast as I would have liked. In the words of many, your not 18 anymore. Thank you for your prayers and kind words. Pastor Gary We received this information and wanted to pass it on: One of CUC's past Pastors was John Szilvasy. When he retired, he and his wife Linda moved to El Paso, TX, and they both have had some health issues. John is currently in a veteran's home and Linda still lives in their house. Morning Joe 5th Monday morning April 29th is a 5th Monday, so the gang will be heading to Busy Corner in Goodfield. They will meet there around 8:30. Bring a friend! Please sign up outside the church office by Thursday, April 25th. Spring Mission Project April through June our Spring Mission Project donations will be used to support The Dream Center in Peoria. You can donate by using the Spring Project envelope in your giving packet, or by marking a pew envelope Spring Project. Thank you. Winter Mission Project THANK YOU for generously supporting Christ for India through your Winter Mission offerings. These donations, $787, will be used to support the church and orphanage we helped to build. 2

4 This summer we are heading to Generate Camp at Wheaton College! This awesome event is June 24-28th and is open to BOTH Jr. and Sr. High students! Total Cost is $165 but you have to sign up AND turn in a $30 deposit by April 14th to go! See Brandon for more info! Get your 2019 Elevate Calendar on the Stuff Table for all the cool things going on this year! II Corinthians 5 : 1 Our Daily Bread The new large print edition of Our Daily Bread is available in the foyer and in magazine racks around the church. Take one home for your family or feel free to share one with a friend or neighbor who has sight issues. Calling Volunteers! As we approach April 14th, we are looking for volunteers to help out the day of the Easter Egg Hunt. Sign-up sheets will be at the Fillin Station table, hanging on the kitchen door, and with Lori, if you are interested. We are looking for Greeters, Egg hiders, Prize table helpers, Photographers, Drawing table helpers, and Clean-up helpers.

5 Metamora Community Preschool Is proud to announce their 2nd Annual Masterpiece Monday Art Show Sunday, April 28 2:00-4:00 pm in the SV Center at Snyder Village It's free and open to the public!! It's so AWESOME that these kiddos know about Van Gogh, Kandinsky, and Picasso, just to name a few.
