1 Cumberland County Utility Coordinating Committee Minutes of December 3, 2015 Meeting Location: PWC Operations Center Water Construction Conference Room 955 Old Wilmington Rd, Fayetteville, NC Kenny Hart called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone. Members present: Jeff Bartley Michael Sealey Nancy West-Brake Hector Cruz Kenny Hart Chris Rainey NC811 Piedmont Natural Gas Digital Repair Town of Hope Mills Public Works PWC Water Resource Construction PWC Water Resource Construction Member Project Discussions: Jeff Bartley presented updates from NC811. He showed a brief video which showed PWC being presented with the NC811 Safe Digging Partner of the Month Award. Rick Davis and Kenny Hart received the award on behalf of PWC. Frequently asked question of the month: When calling in a ticket for an intersection, how many streets can be included? The answer was Two; but the total distance to be located cannot exceed 1325 feet which is ¼ mile. He also went over 2016 State UCC Meeting Schedule: Duke Energy 2500 Fairfax Road, Greensboro, NC January 12 th PSNC Energy 4211 Global Street, Raleigh, NC March 8 th Joint Conference Holiday Inn Resort, Wrightsville Beach, NC May 4 th, 5 th, and 6 th Jeff also went over the 2016 NC811 Board Meeting Schedule (for booking information please contact Tonya Hargraves at tonya@nc811.org): 4Q15: The Grandover, Greensboro, NC January 9:30am 1Q16: Sea Trail, Sunset Beach, NC April 22 8:30am I have attached a copy of Jeff s NC811 narrative with the above information as well as locate ticket information.
2 Bill Hammond went over the DOT Project Status Report which I have attached. Kenny Hart with PWC Water Resource Construction introduced the new Water Resource Construction Operations Manager, Chris Rainey. PWC continues work on Winslow Street which will continue through the Christmas Holiday. Kenny and Chris also stated that the project on Rowan Street and Green Street is wrapping up for the holidays. Hector Cruz with the Town of Hope Mills Public Works stated the Safe Route to School sidewalk project has been assigned to McGill and Associates. He also stated that Lowe s Home Improvement will be presenting a site plan to build in Hope Mills next to Walmart. Everyone wished David Vencill a happy retirement. The next Cumberland County Utilities Coordinating meeting will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2015.
