1 To: From: All NMAA Athletic Administrators and Head Football Coaches Mario Martinez, Associate Director Dana Northcutt, Commissioner of Officials Subject: 2005 Football Season Preparation DUE APRIL 15, 2005 Date: March 3, 2005 It is once again the time of year for the submission of football schedules and preferential lists for the upcoming season. Please note that the process by which we will receive your varsity football schedule has changed, however, submission of preferential lists will still be done in the same manner. The deadline for the receipt of the 2005 football schedules and preferential lists is April 15, PREFERENTIAL LISTS Attached is a listing of prospective officials by region. Coaches, in consultation with athletic administrators, identify their preferences for officials and may exclude up to 5% in each region. * Indicate those officials whom you prefer (will accept) by placing a one (1) on the appropriate line. * Identify by a two (2), or leave blank, those you do not know. They may be assigned to work at your games. * Place a three (3) next to those whom you will not accept. Individuals in this category will be excluded from working your games, up to 5% per region. Note: Regardless of reason, if you wish to exclude an official, you must place a three (3) next to the name. If you do not follow the process, you may have the official assigned to your game(s). SCHEDULES Beginning this year, schools will be responsible for submitting their own football schedules into the online system. Most of you are already familiar with this process from previous seasons and other sports. We have included an instruction sheet with this for your use and information. Questions regarding the submission of schedules online should be directed to Mr. Robert Zayas, NMAA Communications Coordinator at rzayas@nmact.org. By schools submitting their own schedules, it will aid our office in ensuring that officials contracts are sent out in a more timely fashion. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. 7 On-line Instructions for Entering Schedules All Athletic Directors have an on-line reporting instruction manual. An on-line instruction manual is also posted on the NMAA website under the FORMS section. Follow the steps below to enter a schedule for the 2005 Football season. All schedules must be entered on-line. Log onto the NMAA website ( Click on ON-LINE REPORTING located in the upper left hand corner. Enter the football USER ID and Password (All athletic directors have USER IDs and Passwords) Select Season: Select the LEVEL of the desired team. Click on SCHEDULE Click on ADD GAME Enter the DATE, TIME and LOCATION of the game. You can enter up to 10 games at a time. Enter the HOME Team and Level. Enter the Visiting Team and Level. Click ADD GAMES The games should appear on the schedule. If a game was entered incorrectly, simply click the MOD button to the right of the game on the schedule to modify the game or click the DEL button to delete the game.
