3 Keeping Up with the Council: o COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES November 15, 2016 con t. Soup Supper end count $3, (start up money of $500 was returned to church -- profit was $3, and we also had a $100 donation for a total of $3,334.00). $3, to be divided between top 3 choices of congregation? In what amounts? ROOF OPERATIONAL BUDGET OVERFLOW. Larry Gilbertson made a motion to divide the amount by three to go to the three choices. Randy Schier seconded it. Motion passed. Stewardship and Finance Team o Karla and Church Mutual try to look at the automatic annual increase for multi peril building value coverage built into the policy every 3 years. The building values had increased more than they should have so after bringing them back down to where the values should be, our multi-peril premium has been brought back in line. Karla negotiated for past three years payments and we will be receiving a refund check for this year of $244 and an additional 10% credit (for the previous two years) on the account to be endorsed into next years insurance policy. Our multi-peril policy will cost $6,623 next year (down from $8,466). We will stay with Church Mutual as we are still receiving much better coverage for the same price as other companies are asking. Worship Teams Old Business 2017 Proposed Budget needs approval. Discussion on new computers and new software needs to include the Day Care. Discussion on replacing roof. Mike Lawyer made a motion to start a roof fund. Rodney Dix seconded it. Motion passed. New Business Cemetery is unable to pay for lawn mowing this year. The cemetery checking account has $ and needs $1, to pay Grace for lawn mowing through October 23 rd. Would we like to give the cemetery a year of grace? Larry Gilbertson made a motion to table this until next month, Randy seconded it. Motion passed. 5 yr full load test was completed on the lift/elevator. We did pass this time but the pump is working too hard and needs replacing. Estimate for repair from All Star Elevator out of Eau Claire, $4, (complete pump and valve unit, oil and batteries, labor on installing all parts, complete exam and lube). The lift is now 20 years old, when the unit gives out, the lift will fall to the basement. Randy volunteered to check on this further. Next meeting date: Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. Motion to adjourn at 9:45 p.m. by Jay Olson and seconded it by Larry Gilbertson.
