Mrs. Wendell Hansen owns 47 warbling canaries as star performers. Many songs like Jesus Lover of My Soul, This Is My Father s World, Joy to the World, God Bless America, and even Yankee Doodle are sung by the birds. Mrs.Hansen s aim is to show that birds are to be appreciated as gifts of God 16

Other issues are non-existent but this one announces the change in the name of Trenton Youth For Christ to The Hallelujah Hour. My present assumption is that we wanted a name distinctive like JoyTime in Atlantic City, N.J. and Jubilee in Los Angeles, California. The cover page is badly torn but the other pages provide another glimpse of our history. 17

7 April 3, 1978 Word of Life Rally with Jack Wyrtzen in the Philadelphia Convention Hall. A New York excursion train chartered by Word of Life stopped for us at the Trenton Train Station en-route to Philly. The round trip fare was $1.25 per person. We departed from Trenton at 3:00 pm and returned at 11:00 pm. Upon arrival at the 30 th Street Station in Philly, the crowd walked up Market Street to 34 th Street then South to the Hall about eight blocks. We were all singing hymns along the way. Quite an experience. (no rally in Trenton this evening). April 10, 1948 Rev. Earl D. Opie, from California. The Motorcyclist of Melody with his Sermons in songs in Technicolor Slides and, Rev. Charles Anderson, of Brookdale Baptist Church, Bloomfield, N.J. Earl was the brother of Billy Opie, the evangelist, under whose ministry I surrendered my life to Christ and felt the call to the Gospel ministry. Charles Anderson was a member of the three-clergy tour I made with Wycliffe missions to the jungles of Southern Mexico in April 17, 1948 Leon Sullivan, Christian businessman Investment broker, President of the Philadelphia Christian Business Men s Association president CBMC. (This date was also his birthday, which we celebrated.) April 24, 1948 Rev. Earl Opie from California, with his Sermons in Song in Technicolor slides. This was his second appearance. The Youth Center, just one block from the center of Trenton at the intersection of Broad and State Streets, aims to maintain an attractive place for young people to relax and enjoy themselves.

Activities and facilities which will be provided include ping pong, darts, checkers, chess, books, writing equipment and a snack bar.
