A 15 minute reading can be scheduled for $ The event begins at 7:30PM and ends at 9:00. March 06: Rev. Beth Carter & Mike Carter - Exercises in Mediumship MPI Classes Rev. Chris Owen is conducting ongoing MPI classes for those of you who are taking the Morris Pratt Institute Course. This is an opportunity to sit with others to get help with course material, discuss different aspects of Spiritualism, or just have a learning experience. For those of you who don't know, the MPI Class is the pathway in NSAC Spiritualism to acquire certification as a Commissioned Healer, Certified Medium, Licentiate Minister, Reverend or National Spiritualist Teacher. If you are taking the Morris Pratt Course this class might be a help to you. If you are not taking the course, please feel free to visit and audit a class to see if you may be interested. Classes are every other Tuesday evening beginning at 7:30PM. The next class will be February 17 th. There is no charge for this class. Announcements Dedication Bookplates are available to $ The bookplate will have the name of the person to whom the dedication is made along with the name of the donor making the dedication. The bookplate will be put into one of the 50 hymnals at the church. For an additional $5.00 a quote or saying of the dedicators choice may be added. See Mike Carter for more details. We have all of the radiators in the Church operating so we now have comfortable heat for our classes and services.

4 The Church is accepting returnable bottle to help with our monthly expenses. We have CLYNK bags at the Church that can be taken home, filled and returned to any Hannaford grocery store. Bottles can also be brought to the Church and we'll put them in the CLYNK bags and return them. Our Responsibilities A new year is upon us with the opportunity for new beginnings and growth. If you have a question in regard to the church, the religion or personality issues please contact the Pastors, the President or Vice President. Questions, rumors, gossip and misunderstandings can fester if not resolved. Sometimes a phrase or tone of voice may be misunderstood. Many years ago a medium serving the church told a lady someone was going to stab her in the back. It was a year later when we learned that the lady was being stalked by someone who had been abusive with her therefore she TOOK THE READING LITERALLY! A quick question to the medium that evening regarding her reading would have prevented a year of fear. Let us keep our integrity. Let us not gossip. It is an action that demoralizes us. If you hear rumors or gossip about someone go directly to the one being maligned or as my Mother often said Go to the horses mouth. Get the true facts. Get the truth. Don t misunderstand someone trying to present and argue BOTH sides to a point, since a true vote or decision cannot be made without the Pros, Cons, and Facts. There is corruption all around us. Must we add to it by corrupting words, corrupting morale? It is indeed a new year in which we can all step forward in our faith and the teachings of Spiritualism by living by our 9 Principles but most particularly: #6 We believe that the highest morality is contained in the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. #7 We affirm the moral responsibility of individuals, and that we make our own happiness or unhappiness as we obey or disobey Nature s physical and spiritual laws.

5 Let us be the healers. l Let us do the best we can to stop gossip, malicious comments, rumors etc. We have a wonderful new year in which to begin by taking personal responsibility. Are we all perfect? Not on your life! We all make mistakes. That is how we learn who we are and proceed to continue our growth. Believe me there are those of you who know I can put my foot in my mouth. I m only human myself. Rev. Beth Carter Quiz: See if you can guess who this fine gentleman is.
