To reserve a spot, visit Chapel Shutter Project Installation of these new working shutters bring the Watch Hill Chapel back to its original charm. As working shutters, they not only provide an aesthetic appeal, they serve an important function of protecting, during sever weather and hurricanes, the recently reglazed historic windows. The shutters are constructed of a fabricated, bonded, high density and resilient composite material with the color infused and bonded into the material resulting in greater longevity and very low maintenance. The shutters were hung in August of 2015 and are painted Essex green, a color that has historic roots in the New England area.
