BE IT RESOLVED, that this 100 TH Annual Convention of the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania extend its thanks and gratitude to members of the Convention Working Group for all their labors on behalf of this convention. 2. BE IT RESOLVED, that this 100 th Annual Convention of the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania extend greetings and best wishes to the retired clergy and their spouses of the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania and to surviving spouses of those clergy who are deceased or who have been unable to attend this 100 th Annual Convention and that a copy of this resolution be sent to them by the Secretary of Convention.

BE IT RESOLVED, that this 100 th Annual Convention of the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania express thanks to those friends who have maintained a prayer vigil throughout the proceedings of this Convention. 4. BE IT RESOLVED, that this 100 th Annual Convention of the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania extend greetings and best wishes to our seminarians Melissa Bruckart, Evan Clendenin, and Melissa Greene and that a copy of this resolution be sent to them by the Secretary of Convention. 5. BE IT RESOLVED, that this 100 th Annual Convention of the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania extend greetings and best wishes to the Director of Protestant Campus Ministries, Claire Chadwick, and that a copy of this resolution be sent to her by the Secretary of Convention.

BE IT RESOLVED, that this 100 th Annual Convention of the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania convey greetings to the clergy and people of the Shenango Presbytery, through its Executive Presbyter David G. Dawson; to the clergy and people of the Kiskiminetas Presbytery, through its Executive Presbyter, Wayne A. Yost; to the clergy and people of the United Methodist Church, Western Pennsylvania Conference, through its resident Bishop, the Rev. Thomas J. Bickerton; to the clergy and people of the Presbyterian Church (USA), Presbytery of Lake Erie, through its General Presbyter, the Rev. David Oyler; to the clergy and people of the American Baptist Churches of Pennsylvania and Delaware, through its Area Minister, Rev. Frank Frischkorn; to the clergy and people of the United Church of Christ, Penn West Conference, through its Conference Minister, the Rev. Alan N. McLarty; to the clergy and people of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Erie, through its Bishop, the Most Rev. Donald W. Trautman; and to the clergy and people of the Northwest Pennsylvania Synod, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, through its Bishop, the Rev. Ralph Jones.

BE IT RESOLVED, that this 100 th Annual Convention of the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania recognize significant ordination anniversaries during this year for: Michael Annis (45 years); John Kline (45 years); Paul Meglathery (45 years); Lawrence Donahue (40 years); Stephen Shuart (40 years); James Considine (35 years); John Downey (30 years); Jeff Hamblin (30 years); Victor Kinnunen (20 years); Alan Coudriet (15 years); Carol Carlson (10 years); Leo Angevine (5 years); Robert Burke (5 years); Shawn Clerkin (5 years); and Zachary Irwin (10 years diaconate) and that a copy of this resolution be sent to them by the Secretary of Convention.
6 Whereas Robert Deane Rowley, Jr., was born July 6, 1941 in Cumberland, MD, and Whereas he was a 1959 graduate of St. Vincent College Preparatory School, received his Bachelor of Arts degree and Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and Master of Laws in International Law from George Washington University, and, in 1977, his Masters of Divinity from the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest, and Whereas he was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1965, the Court of Military Appeals in 1966, and the U.S. Supreme Court in 1970, and Whereas he served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 until 1974, and the U.S. Naval Reserve until 1992, when he retired as a Captain from the Judge Advocate General Corp, and Whereas he was ordained deacon in 1977 and priest in 1978 in the Diocese of Hawaii, and
7 Whereas he served parishes in Honolulu and Aiea, Hawaii, and as Canon to the Bishop in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and Whereas, in 1989, he was elected Bishop in the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania, serving in various capacities in the House of Bishops, and Whereas he took a leadership role in civic activities and was an active member of the Erie County Bar Association, and Whereas Bob, as he liked to be called, demonstrated an unswerving faith in Jesus Christ, possessed an incisive legal mind, was loyal to those about him, had a keen sense of justice, and a great laugh, and was an avid golfer along with his wife, Nancy, and Whereas Bishop Rowley had a passion for small churches and was willing to engage the challenges of our present day, and
8 Whereas he died January 18, 2010, Therefore let this convention rise in his memory and Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be sent to his wife, Nancy, and their two children.
9 Whereas John Perkins Juchter was born on July 22, 1936, in Schenectady, NY, and Whereas John attended Warren Wilson Junior College and graduated from Guildford College and Whereas John was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was employed with the General Electric company until his retirement in 2001, and Whereas he was ordained a deacon in 1973 and served at St. Mary s, Lawrence Park, the Cathedral of St. Paul, and St. Mark s, Erie, where he served until the time of his death, and Whereas John served as deacon faithfully and loyally and with a wonderful, dry wit and
10 Whereas John died on May 26, 2010, Therefore let this convention rise in his memory and Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be sent to his wife, Annabelle, and their two sons.
11 Whereas Carla Jean Rishel Williams was born October 5, 1941, and graduated from Curwensville High School in 1959, and received her certification as a Registered Nurse from the Indiana Hospital School of Nursing in 1963, and Whereas she graduated from the Diocesan School for Ministry and was ordained deacon in 2005 and priest in 2006, and Whereas she served at St. Andrew s, Clearfield, and was serving as vicar of St. Laurence, Osceola Mills, at the time of her death, and Whereas she served on the Constitution and Canons Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania, and Whereas Carla was a much beloved priest with her flock, and
12 Whereas she died October 12, 2010, Therefore let this convention rise in her memory and Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be sent to her husband, Glenn.
13 Whereas Esther H. Wyatt was born in St. Catherine s, Ontario, on September 10, 1921 and graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1939 and Whereas she was the secretary for the Episcopal Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania for thirty years until her retirement and Whereas in 1979 she received the Bishop s Cross and Whereas she was a longtime member of the Cathedral of St. Paul and Whereas Esther died on September 5, 2010, Therefore let this convention rise in her memory and Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be sent to her husband, Millard, and their three children.
14 Whereas George W. Brett II was born May 23, 1925 in Clearfield, PA, and Whereas he graduated from McKaskey High School, Lancaster, Franklin and Marshall University, and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Temple University, and Whereas he was a devout member of St. Andrew s, Clearfield, where he served as lay reader, chalice bearer, Senior Warden, and Senior Warden Emeritus, and Whereas he served as delegate to Diocesan Conventions and as deputy to General Convention, and Whereas he received the Bishop s Cross in 1983 and Whereas he was very active and highly respected in his chosen profession of dentist, and
15 Whereas George died March 7, 2010, Therefore let this convention rise in his memory and Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be sent to his wife, Joan, and his four children.
16 Whereas Eleen Prittie was born March 25, 1911 in St. Catherine s, Ontario, and Whereas she was a graduate of the Collegiate School in St. Catherine s, and Whereas she was married to the Rev. John M. Prittie, who served numerous congregations in the diocese, and who died in 1975, and Whereas she was a loving wife and mother who volunteered at the American Red Cross of Erie, Hamot Hospital Fund Drive, St. Barnabus House on the Lake, and Conrad House, and Whereas she died on March 27, Therefore let this convention rise in her memory and Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be sent to her son, David, and daughter, Carolyn.
17 Whereas Kittie E. Betsy Williams was born in Pittsburgh on September 26, 1937, and Whereas she was a 1955 graduate of Wilkinsburg High School and a 1959 graduate of Indiana State Teachers College and Whereas she married the Rev. Russell Williams on June 6, 1959, and Whereas she was a longtime member of the American Guild of Organists, serving as organist at [ ], and Whereas Betsy died March 18, 2010, Therefore let this convention rise in her memory and Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be sent to her husband, Russell, and their two children.
18 Whereas Dorothy M. Farone was born on May 17, 1921 in Youngstown, OH, and Whereas she was married to the Rev. Canon Frank J.
