Remember Zaw-Kar To recall, to call to mind, to be thought of, to be brought to mind, to record. Deuteronomy 8:11-18 Be careful not to forget ADONAI your God by not obeying his mitzvot, rulings and regulations that I am giving you today. Otherwise, after you have eaten and are satisfied, built fine houses and lived in them, and increased your herds, flocks, silver, gold and everything else you own, you will become proud-hearted. Forgetting ADONAI your God - who brought you out of the land of Egypt, where you lived as slaves Deuteronomy 8:11-18 who led you through the vast and fearsome desert, with its poisonous snakes, scorpions and waterless, thirsty ground; who brought water out of flint rock for you; who fed you in the desert with man, unknown to your ancestors; all the while humbling and testing you in order to do you good in the end you will think to yourself, My own power and the strength of my own hand have gotten me this wealth. No, you are to remember ADONAI your God, because it is he who is giving you the power to get wealth, in order to confirm his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as is happening even today. Shabbat 1
Ecclesiastes 1:9 What has been is what will be, what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. Deuteronomy 11:1 Therefore, you are to love ADONAI your God and always obey his commission, regulations, rulings and mitzvot. Deuteronomy 15:15; 16:12; 24:18 Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and ADONAI your God redeemed you; that is why I am giving you this order today. Remember that you were a slave in Egypt; then you will keep and obey these laws. Rather, remember that you were a slave in Egypt; and ADONAI your God redeemed you from there. That is why I am ordering you to do this. Shabbat 2
Revelation 3:1-3 To the angel of the Messianic Community in Sardis, write: 'Here is the message from the one who has the sevenfold Spirit of God and the seven stars: "I know what you are doing - you have a reputation for being alive, but in fact you are dead! Wake up, and strengthen what remains, before it dies too! For I have found what you are doing incomplete in the sight of my God. So remember what you received and heard, and obey it, and turn from your sin! For if you don't wake up, I will come like a thief; and you don't know at what moment I will come upon you. Wake Up Greg-Or-Yoo-O To give attention to, to be cautious, to be active, to take heed so as to avoid destructive calamity. Deuteronomy 10:12-22 So now, Isra'el, all that ADONAI your God asks from you is to fear ADONAI your God, follow all his ways, love him and serve ADONAI your God with all your heart and all your being; to obey, for your own good, the mitzvot and regulations of ADONAI which I am giving you today. See, the sky, the heaven beyond the sky, the earth and everything on it all belong to ADONAI your God. Only ADONAI took enough pleasure in your ancestors to love them and choose their descendants after them yourselves above all peoples, as he still does today. Shabbat 3
Deuteronomy 10:12-22 Therefore, circumcise the foreskin of your heart; and don't be stiffnecked any longer! For ADONAI your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, mighty and awesome God, who has no favorites and accepts no bribes. He secures justice for the orphan and the widow; he loves the foreigner, giving him food and clothing. Therefore you are to love the foreigner, since you were foreigners in the land of Egypt. You are to fear ADONAI your God, serve him, cling to him and swear by his name. Deuteronomy 10:12-22 He is your praise, and he is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things, which you have seen with your own eyes. Your ancestors went down into Egypt with only seventy people, but now ADONAI your God has made your numbers as many as the stars in the sky! Fear Yaw-Ray To honor, respect, revere. To be in awe of. To be terrified. Shabbat 4
Follow Haw-Lak To walk, to come, to live. Love Aw-Hab The act of being a friend, to show your love. Serve Aw-Bad To work for another, become slaves, to worship. Shabbat 5
Obey Shaw-Mar To observe, diligently keep, to vow. Deuteronomy 10:13 to obey, for your own good, the mitzvot and regulations of ADONAI which I am giving you today. Deuteronomy 11:26-28 See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse the blessing, if you listen to the mitzvot of ADONAI your God that I am giving you today; and the curse, if you don't listen to the mitzvot of ADONAI your God, but turn aside from the way I am ordering you today and follow other gods that you have not known. Shabbat 6
Choose Baw-Khar To elect, to select. Deuteronomy 30:19 I call on heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have presented you with life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore, choose life, so that you will live, you and your descendants John 8:30-31 Many people who heard him say these things trusted in him. So Yeshua said to the Judeans who had trusted him, If you obey what I say, then you are really my talmidim Shabbat 7
John 8:32 you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. 1 John 1:6 2:1-2 If we claim to have fellowship with him while we are walking in the darkness, we are lying and not living out the truth. But if we are walking in the light, as he is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of his Son Yeshua purifies us from all sin. If we claim not to have sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:6 2:1-2 If we acknowledge our sins, then, since he is trustworthy and just, he will forgive them and purify us from all wrongdoing. If we claim we have not been sinning, we are making him out to be a liar, and his Word is not in us. My children, I am writing you these things so that you won't sin. But if anyone does sin, we have Yeshua the Messiah, the Tzaddik, who pleads our cause with the Father. Also, he is the kapparah for our sins - and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world. Shabbat 8
