1 THE BIBLICAL TRUTH ABOUT RECEIVING MESSIAH INTO OUR HEARTS SOWING THE WORD OF GOD TUESDAY, AUGUST 2, 2016 Luke 8:11, NOW THE PARABLE IS THIS: THE SEED IS THE WORD OF GOD. BUT THE ONES THAT FELL ON THE GOOD GROUND ARE THOSE WHO, HAVING HEARD THE WORD WITH A NOBLE AND GOOD HEART, KEEP IT AND BEAR FRUIT WITH PATIENCE. No one, when he has LIT A LAMP, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, BUT SETS IT ON A LAMPSTAND, THAT THOSE WHO ENTER MAY SEE THE LIGHT. For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. Therefore TAKE HEED HOW YOU HEAR. For whoever has, 1

2 to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him. Psalms 119:11, 142, , 160, 163 YOUR WORD I HAVE HIDDEN IN MY HEART, That I might not sin against You. Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And YOUR LAW (TORAH) IS TRUTH. They draw near who follow after wickedness; THEY ARE FAR FROM YOUR LAW (TORAH). You are near, O Lord, And ALL YOUR COMMANDMENTS ARE TRUTH. YOUR WORD IS TRUE FROM THE BEGINNING: and every one of your righteous judgments endures for ever. I HATE and abhor LYING, But I LOVE YOUR LAW (TORAH). John 17:17-19 SANCTIFY THEM BY YOUR TRUTH. YOUR WORD IS TRUTH. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, THAT THEY ALSO MAY BE SANCTIFIED BY THE TRUTH. Romans 7:14 FOR WE KNOW THAT THE LAW (TORAH) IS SPIRITUAL, but I am carnal, sold under sin. Romans 8:2 For THE LAW (TORAH) OF THE SPIRIT OF THE LIFE IN MESSIAH YEHOSHUA HAS SET ME FREE from the law of sin and of death. I Peter 1:22-25 Since YOU HAVE PURIFIED YOUR SOULS IN OBEYING 2

3 THE TRUTH THROUGH THE SPIRIT in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, HAVING BEEN BORN AGAIN, NOT OF CORRUPTIBLE SEED BUT INCORRUPTIBLE, THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD WHICH LIVES AND ABIDES FOREVER, because All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER. NOW THIS IS THE WORD WHICH BY THE GOSPEL WAS PREACHED TO YOU. Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: THE SEED IS THE WORD OF GOD." I John 2:24-27 Therefore LET THAT ABIDE IN YOU WHICH YOU HEARD FROM THE BEGINNING. IF WHAT YOU HEARD FROM THE BEGINNING ABIDES IN YOU, YOU ALSO WILL ABIDE IN THE SON AND IN THE FATHER. And this is the promise that He has promised us ETERNAL LIFE. These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him ABIDES IN YOU, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and IS TRUE, AND IS NOT A LIE, and just as it has taught you, you will ABIDE IN HIM. I John 3:7-11, 24 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, 3

4 that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, FOR HIS SEED REMAINS IN HIM; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. For THIS IS THE MESSAGE THAT YOU HEARD FROM THE BEGINNING, that we should love one another... Now HE WHO KEEPS HIS COMMANDMENTS ABIDES IN HIM, AND HE IN HIM. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. John 15:7-10 IF YOU ABIDE IN ME, AND MY WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; ABIDE IN MY LOVE. IF YOU KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS, YOU WILL ABIDE IN MY LOVE, just as I have kept My Father s commandments and abide in His love. II John 1:4-6 I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children WALKING IN TRUTH, AS WE RECEIVED COMMANDMENT FROM THE FATHER. And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, BUT THAT WHICH WE HAVE HAD FROM THE BEGINNING: THAT WE LOVE ONE ANOTHER. THIS IS LOVE, THAT WE WALK ACCORDING TO HIS COMMANDMENTS. THIS IS THE COMMANDMENT, THAT AS YOU HAVE HEARD FROM THE BEGINNING, YOU SHOULD WALK IN IT. 4

5 John 1:1 IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Genesis 1:1-5 IN THE BEGINNING God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and DARKNESS was on the face of the deep. And THE SPIRIT OF GOD WAS HOVERING OVER THE FACE OF THE WATERS. THEN GOD SAID, LET THERE BE LIGHT ; AND THERE WAS LIGHT. And God saw the light, that it was good; and GOD DIVIDED THE LIGHT FROM THE DARKNESS. GOD CALLED THE LIGHT DAY, and THE DARKNESS HE CALLED NIGHT. So the evening and the morning were the first day. Ephesians 5:8-10 For YOU WERE ONCE DARKNESS, BUT NOW YOU ARE LIGHT IN THE LORD. WALK AS CHILDREN OF LIGHT (FOR THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS IN ALL GOODNESS, RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND TRUTH), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. I Thessalonians 5:1-6 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of THE LORD SO COMES AS A THIEF IN THE NIGHT. For when they say, Peace and safety! then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. BUT YOU, BRETHREN, ARE NOT IN DARKNESS, SO THAT THIS DAY SHOULD OVERTAKE YOU AS A THIEF. YOU ARE ALL 5

6 SONS OF LIGHT AND SONS OF THE DAY. WE ARE NOT OF THE NIGHT NOR OF DARKNESS. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. Psalms 119:105 YOUR WORD IS A LAMP to my feet AND A LIGHT to my path. Proverbs 6:23 For THE COMMANDMENT IS A LAMP, AND THE LAW (Torah) A LIGHT; Reproofs of instruction are THE WAY OF LIFE, John 14:6 Yehoshua (Jesus) said to him, I AM THE WAY, AND THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME." John 1:14 And THE WORD BECAME FLESH and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH. John 14:15-24 IF YOU LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that HE MAY ABIDE WITH YOU FOREVER THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, WHOM THE WORLD CANNOT RECEIVE, BECAUSE IT NEITHER SEES HIM NOR KNOWS HIM; BUT YOU KNOW HIM, FOR HE DWELLS WITH YOU AND WILL BE IN YOU. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day 6

7 you will know that I AM IN MY FATHER, AND YOU IN ME, AND I IN YOU. HE WHO HAS MY COMMANDMENTS AND KEEPS THEM, IT IS HE WHO LOVES ME. AND HE WHO LOVES ME WILL BE LOVED BY MY FATHER, AND I WILL LOVE HIM AND MANIFEST MYSELF TO HIM. Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, Lord, HOW IS IT THAT YOU WILL MANIFEST YOURSELF TO US, AND NOT TO THE WORLD? Yehoshua (Jesus) answered and said to him, IF ANYONE LOVES ME, HE WILL KEEP MY WORD; AND MY FATHER WILL LOVE HIM, AND WE WILL COME TO HIM AND MAKE OUR HOME WITH HIM. HE WHO DOES NOT LOVE ME DOES NOT KEEP MY WORDS; AND THE WORD WHICH YOU HEAR IS NOT MINE BUT THE FATHER S WHO SENT ME." Deuteronomy 18:17-19 And the Lord said to me: What they have spoken is good. I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and WILL PUT MY WORDS IN HIS MOUTH, AND HE SHALL SPEAK TO THEM ALL THAT I COMMAND HIM. And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him." Acts 3:22-26 For Moses truly said to the fathers, The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. HIM YOU SHALL HEAR IN ALL THINGS, WHATEVER HE SAYS TO YOU. And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people. Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold these days. You are sons of the prophets, and of THE COVENANT WHICH GOD MADE WITH OUR FATHERS, SAYING TO ABRAHAM, 7

8 AND IN YOUR SEED ALL THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH SHALL BE BLESSED. To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Yehoshua (Jesus), sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities. Galatians 3:16 But the promises were spoken to Aḇraham, and TO HIS SEED. HE DOES NOT SAY, AND TO SEEDS, AS OF MANY, BUT AS OF ONE, AND TO YOUR SEED, WHO IS MESSIAH. Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: THE SEED IS THE WORD OF GOD." James 1:21-22 Therefore put away all filthiness and overflow of evil, and RECEIVE WITH MEEKNESS THE IMPLANTED WORD, WHICH IS ABLE TO SAVE YOUR LIVES. AND BECOME DOERS OF THE WORD, AND NOT HEARERS ONLY, deceiving yourselves. To my family in Yehoshua (Jesus) Messiah: Many of us have not been taught the true Gospel. We've been taught that we must ask Jesus into our hearts to be saved, and while this is almost right, only God's Word can show us how to discern between right and almost right. God's Word points to Messiah as the incorruptible Seed, the Word of God, which must be implanted in us to sanctify us and wash us clean. Ephesians 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives, just as Messiah also loved the church and gave Himself for her, THAT HE MIGHT 8

9 SANCTIFY AND CLEANSE HER WITH THE WASHING OF WATER BY THE WORD, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. He was not just a flesh man, but the Living Word of God who came to heal us. Psalms 107:20 HE SENT HIS WORD and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. This is the same unchanging Word we've heard from the beginning; from Genesis. God causes his Word to grow in the good soil of our hearts as we continually seek Him by reading, studying and eating of this daily bread. If we stop this process, we are no longer "abiding" in the True Vine. John 15:1-8 I AM THE TRUE VINE, AND MY FATHER IS THE VINEDRESSER. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. YOU ARE ALREADY CLEAN BECAUSE OF THE WORD WHICH I HAVE SPOKEN TO YOU. ABIDE IN ME, AND I IN YOU. AS THE BRANCH CANNOT BEAR FRUIT OF ITSELF, UNLESS IT ABIDES IN THE VINE, NEITHER CAN YOU, UNLESS YOU ABIDE IN ME. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for WITHOUT ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. IF YOU ABIDE IN ME, AND MY WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, you will ask what 9

10 you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. 1 John 2:3-6 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, I know Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. HE WHO SAYS HE ABIDES IN HIM OUGHT HIMSELF ALSO TO WALK JUST AS HE WALKED. I encourage you this day, not only to ask Jesus to abide in you, but to ask the Spirit of Truth, through Messiah Yehoshua, to teach you how abide in Him, so that He and the Father may make their home with you, as it is written. 10
