3 THE EUCLID A VENUE TEMPLE BULLETIN Page Three JEWISH BOOK WEEK Thmughout the country Jewish Book Month is now being observed. Cleveland has set aside the final week from December 3rd through December 10th as Jewish Book Week. In the light of the tragedy that has overtaken our people in those parts of Europe where the light of Jewish culture was burning brightly, it is now up to us here in America to lay special stress on Jewish cultural values. We must ourselves read Jewish books in order to encourage Jewish literary activity. We must influence our children to read. It is therefore imperative that the shelves in our homes carry an ample supply of the very fine Jewish literary output that these past 20 years have yielded in America. Chanukah time is gift giving ti~~. It is a golden opportunity to purchase Jewish books. To facilitate Y0':lr shopping problem our Chanukah Gift Shop will be.. available.to _yop.9.1l._s_untlu. l1!qjnin~ _ You may purchase the books that are on display. or YOll may place an order with us and we shall be very happy to obtain such books for you. But by all means give a Jewish book as a gift. THE UNITED STATES POST OF FICE REQUESTS that you shop and mail early. This year more than ever befor~ the number of trained employees available for distribution and delivering will be greatly reduced, and mail transportation curtailed due to the war operations. Be sure always to include the postal zone number as part of the address on all mail matter. The Post Office will be glad to give you the zone number if you will submit to them early enough. your mailing list with your return address.
