A tremendous thank you to each and every member, family and friend who attended the nightly services, climax and banquet. Rev. Jones felt extremely blessed to have come this far with the love of God and being able to celebrate with those around him. An extra special thank you to the anonymous donor who made it possible to have the banquet at a new location, which allowed members who have never been able to come to a banquet, due to physical needs, to attend!. Your insight and advice were greatly appreciated and will be used as a resource in the future. Bro. DiAndre Black, Ministry Leader Men of Faith Service. Congratulations Dea. Thank you to the Young Adult Choir for hosting the Bible Bowl. More so, thank you to those who came out to support the Young Adults in their preparations for their up and coming musical. Congrats to the 1 st Place winner, Sis. Cathy Sills. Study up, you never know when the next Bowl will be! Special thanks to all who came out for the Evangelism Service- it was an inspirational event. Thank you to every person who came out to support the Building Fund Gospel Explosion. We had an awesome service with musical selections by The Sax Preacher and Solidarity with the Savior through Worship an oral presentation by Tyshaun, the 1 st place winner of the Salem District Oratorical Contest. With your help, the captains have raised over $2, with more coming in. Hats off to the following Building Fund captains on a job well done! 4 Page 4 The Joy Zone 40 DAYS & 40 NIGHTS Yes the time has come again.fasting has begun again.you re more than half way there, 28 days down and 12 more to go. Why do we fast? Jesus spent forty days in the wilderness with no food or water to show us we CAN put our bodies under submission and control our bodies, instead of our bodies controlling us. If Jesus can do it, why can t you? As a reminder, this year s fast is No Trans-fat and No High Fructose Corn Syrup. In addition, as a financial sacrifice, be sure to get your gleaner, if you haven t done so already. Set aside some time each day to read a scripture and add to your gleaner. If you need one please see Sis. Erica today. Lets become one as a congregation and grow closer to God as one.
