2 Dear Rebbe, When you encouraged Jews begin putting Tefilin 30 years ago, many sof by and snickered. Today, thanks your foresight, millions of men put on Tefilin daily, millions of candles brighten Shabbat tables, millions of pennies have filled millions of pushkas and millions of Jewish homes have been uched. Where others have made committees; waited for grants be approved; set up subcommittes; decided that due lack of funding a program woud have be aborted; and built wonderful edifices with skyscrapping offices; You and your emissaries have demonstrated that a uch of Jew on need only have the willingness, determination, and a real understanding of what Ahavas Yisroel means. On behalf of the millions of neshamot that you have kindled, we humbly say thank you.

4 Chabad of Great Neck Founded in 1990 with the guidance and blessing of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Chabad of Great Neck is nurtured and supported by concerned members of the Great Neck and Long Island communities. Chabad is dedicated the strengthening of our Judaic faith, principles, identity, commitment, and pride. Chabad House is a unique and vibrant center, providing a home away from home for everyone who walks through its doors. Its Rabbis, staff and volunteer workers are pioneers in the most literal sense, treading a path and showing the way bring the light of Torah and tradition all. Acceptance of everyone on their own level, regardless of their level of religious commitment or practice, has become a trademark of Chabad. And by blending Jewish values with modern day techniques, we have been successful in reaching even the most alienated, helping them appreciate their roots and identify with their Judaism with pride. Chabad Center is located at 400 East Shore Road, Great Neck NY Co h e n He b r e w Sc h o o l: Established in 1992 with the support of Jack Cohen in memory of his parents, the school provides children, kindergarten through seventh grade and Bar/Bat Mitzvah, with a love for life, and for learning Judaic studies. Located at 117 Cutter Mill Road, Great Neck NY So n i a a n d Ma x Si lv e r s t e i n He b r e w Ac a d e m y : Established in 1998 with the support of Raine and Stanley Silverstein in memory of his parents, the Jewish day school of Great Neck provides a strong general academic and Jewish foundation. Beginning with ddlers and kindergarten, it will continue through grade 8. The home of the Academy is 117 Cutter Mille Road, Great Neck NY Friendship Ci r c l e: Established in Spring 2005, the Friendship Circle offers a helping hand children with special needs by involving them in a full range of social and Judaic experience. This unique program also pairs teenage volunteers with special needs children in their homes on a weekly basis.

They are Curtis Katz, Mojgan and Jerry Kahen, Afsaneh and Abe Daniels, Doreen and George Zobel, Lauren and Asher Abesera, Steve Israel, and Anna and Darren Kaplan. Dedication Jewish causes is a way of life for our honorees and each and every one of them has demonstrated vital concern that our heritage continues be transmitted through our children and our children s children. Success in our endeavors is only possible through the committed support of all of you, the Jews of day. Together we can continue grow in knowledge, understanding, and stronger adherence our meaning for being placed on this earth. Our honorees night have shown leadership and courage, discipline, and vision paving the way for Jewish children of morrow. Yes, we are confident that gether, we will bring our goals reality. Thank G-d our Friendship Circle expands daily and will G-d willing have a permanent home in our new facility. The Silverstein Hebrew Academy s dedicated faculty continues offer an exceptional Jewish and General studies education, and as many of you know first hand Chabad s doors are open every Jew that knocks. My ongoing promise all of you is that the efforts of Chabad of Great Neck will not falter nor will they waiver in their commitment the Jewish community.
