4 ! Irving Sacks - A Tribute... Irving was such a vital part of our shul-attending services every Saturday and Sunday morning, Board meetings, Men's Club, social events and the list goes on. He was Past President of our wonderful Shul for many years, chairperson of the Trust Fund Committee, a Life Director of our Board, a member of JWV Post #220 and to many of us a mentor and of course a dear friend. He always had a smile on his face and a Yiddish expression for everyone! We were fortunate during the Men s Club service last month to hear his rendition of Adon Olam - one which will leave a lasting memory in our hearts. May his memory be a blessing to us all. We will miss him. Page 4

Kadish s grandparents were Polish Holocaust survivors; Shattuck s were members of the Nazi party in Germany during World War II. 7 CONGREGATION SONS OF ISRAEL MEN S CLUB Will meet on Wednesday at 9:00am, all at the Shul; on the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th of January. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Congregation Sons of Israel Men's Club meets every Wednesday morning at 9:00 am; in the Herbster Social Hall. Each week the club has an abbreviated weekday morning service followed by breakfast and a lively discussion. The discussion is often led by Rabbi Nechemiah Schusterman of Chabad of the North Shore. Weekly dues, which are two dollars per week are used to purchase items that the Shul needs or sometimes donated to a local charity. Please join us on any Wednesday morning. If you have any questions, please call Stanley Simon at REMINDERS Get Well cards and Sympathy cards are sent to our Congregants. Please call Marjorie Simon , to inform her of any illness or condolences. To all our Congregants, when making a donation or any payment, please write reason, and specify on your check and envelope whether it is designated for the General Fund, Trust Fund, Building Fund, Scholarship Fund & Torah Repair Fund! Approximately 10 large bags of gently worn clothing was donated to BootStraps in Beverly. Let s all start saving for next year! Thank you again.
