2 Course/Module description: This is an introductory course to international law. The course will address various international law topics and emphasis on the functions of international law in the era of globalization. Course/Module aims: Learning current issues in international law assessing central topics in contemporary international law define and analyze the role of international law in the era of globalization and new trends in the field. Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to: Students will be able to define and analyze the role of international law in the era of globalization. Students will acquire knowledge and be able to analyze central topics in contemporary international law, such as: compliance with international law, the sources of international law, the relationships between international and domestic laws, the creation of new states, international immunities, the law of the sea, international criminal law, the law of treaties, the United Nations, international economic law and international responsibility.
