1 A JOURNEY TO THE B E G I N N I N G O F T H E E N D L E S S Day 12: Teshuvah Meditation Passion Welcome to Day Twelve of the Journey to the Beginning of the Endless. In today s video, we meditated to transform the Desire to Receive for the Self Alone into the Desire to Receive for the Sake of Sharing, using one of the 72 Names of God* Ayin, Mem, Mem for Passion, which appears at the bottom of this PDF. Today s exercise will further support us in this transformative process. EXERCISE (to be done after the meditation in the video). Take out your list from yesterday of the places where you have felt or do feel victimized in your life. This list is the key for today s work of identifying and transforming our Desire to Receive for the Self Alone into the Desire to Receive for the Sake of Sharing. Here s how it works: As we mentioned in the PDF text from Day 7, if we are really honest with ourselves, we will find that most of the time, we feel justified in speaking and behaving from our Desire to Receive for the Self Alone for any number of reasons. We make excuses: I did it because he did this to me or they set it up this way or I didn t have a choice! God didn t give me x, y, or z. Page 1

2 The problem with all of these justifications is that they arise from a place where we are the effect of our experience rather than the cause of it, from victim-nature rather than our Creator-nature. Today, next to where you wrote down how you feel or have felt victimized, write down when and how you felt justified in behaving from your Desire to Receive for the Self Alone. (A few examples might be: I had a bad day, so I feel justified in eating three pieces of chocolate cake; or, someone screamed at me, so I feel justified in screaming at someone else; or, the universe dealt me hard hand, so I feel justified in taking more than my fair share). By the way, although it is tempting to just think about the answers to these questions and not write them down, the act of putting pen to paper is in fact a very important part of the transformative process. Where I felt a victim: How I felt this justified my Desire to Receive for the Self Alone: Page 2

3 After you complete this exercise, give yourself the space and time to own that whatever you are experiencing by way of effects of this victim-consciousness originated within you. When you consequently directed your desire toward the Receiving for The Self Alone instead of for the Sake of Sharing, you took sparks of Light from your Creator-nature and fed and strengthened your victim-nature instead, thus perpetuating the whole cycle. By being willing to take a deeper look at your experiences now and assume 100% responsibility them, you can restore the sparks you to your victim-nature not only for yourself, but also for all the souls involved in the situation and for the world. This restoration is the aspect of Teshuvah and returning the Hei that we spoke about on Day 4. As The Rav said, When Rav Shimon (author of the sacred Kabbalistic text called the Zohar) said, They brought the Hei back to the Vav, his meaning was this: We have renewed the connection between effect and cause, between Malchut and Zeir Anpin. We have gone back to a virginal state, to the beginning, thereby revealing our true potential. (Rav Berg, Days of Power: Part 1, pg 15). When we do Teshuvah, we are restoring perfect Divine Order to this world of chaos, to our lives, our minds, and our bodies. Remember, according to science, energy is neither created nor destroyed. It is simply converted from one form to another: in this case from feeding our victimnature to strengthening our Creator-nature. If left unconverted, the effects of that negative energy just keep replaying over and over again in the different scenarios and relationships we encounter in our lives, as well as in our body s energy field. On Day 6, we learned a powerful tool to convert this energy. This tool was four phrases that we say to petition the Light within us to cleanse the effects of our victim consciousness. Page 3

4 These four phrases are: I love you. I am sorry. Please Forgive Me. Thank you. As you look over your list, repeat these four phrases, directing your heart and intention on converting your Desire to Receive for the Self Alone into pure sharing and passion energy. Be sure to keep this list of issues for tomorrow when we will use some Body & Brain exercises to clear them out on an energetic level. Note: As we continue along this journey, you might find yourself with heightened awareness of places where you feel a victim that you didn t recognize before. So feel free to continually add to your list as we go along. Remember, the more you allow yourself to see the effects of your victim consciousness, the more you can own them, and therefore the more you can clean and release them from your experience. Until then, remember that a healthy spirit is a healthy body! *The 72 Names of God: According to the Zohar, the world and everything in it was created through the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Kabbalah teaches that the Hebrew language, ivrit in Hebrew, comes from the root word lavir (to transfer). In fact, the Hebrew word for letter, ot, actually means pulse or vibration, indicating a flow of energy. Far more than simple symbols of communication, by virtue of their shapes, sounds, and sequences, the Hebrew letters transfer energy from the Light of God into the physical world. Kabbalah teaches that each letter is a channel to a unique form of energy and this is true whether or not we know how the letter sounds or how it fits into a given word. Because the eyes are the windows to the soul, by simply scanning the letters with our eyes, we open a direct connection to the Divine Spark hidden within each of us. Page 4
