1 Change Your Way of Thinking and You Will Change Your Behavior, Which Will Change Your Life Thoughts! The Creative Powers If you place your concentrated focus on any given thing, people or situation that is a negative desire in your life, then you will only attract more of the negative desires and people into your life. Where ever you focus your attention energy flows to it. Focus only on positive desires and needs that you want added to your life. A Spiritual Law For every pleasing thing you desire, there is an unpleasant counterpart. When you focus upon an unwanted feature of something in an effort to push it away from you, it only attracts the unwanted objective closer to you, because you get what you give your attention to. Whether it is something that you want or do not want, it is what you place your deliberate focused attention upon that will be attracted to you. Gold Nugget: You can Reject the truth or facts, BUT You will never be able to reject the consequences that come from rejecting the Truth. Proverbs 23:7 For as a man THINKS in his heart, so is he The Bible teaches that every person is a creation of his or her thought world. We seem to think that we are on a journey to find who we are there is something about finding our destiny. In reality, we are on a journey to create who and what we are intended to be, which, in turn, determines our destiny.

2 The reality is God created you in His image. You create the rest of everything that s in your present tense world. Your life IS a creation of your Thinking. Here is one way Jesus said it. Mark 7:20-23 what comes out of a man is what makes him unclean. For from within man s heart, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. ***All these evils come from the inside of a man s thought world and from man s thought world is what makes a man unclean. Notice that Jesus is not talking here about words coming out of a person making the person. Jesus is speaking about Thoughts, your thoughts creates what comes out of your mouth and your actions. I don t think we realize that our thoughts have created powers within us, coming out of us as action behaviors. We must think thoughts are harmless and rattles around inside of us. No. They come out and make him/her what he/she really is. A Spiritual Law: Thoughts create behavior patterns. Thoughts do not only produce thoughts of immorality, thoughts create an immoral person who does immoral acts; thoughts do not only produce thoughts of theft, thoughts create a thief who steals; thoughts do not only produce thoughts of murder, thoughts create a murderer who kills. Thoughts Create Who We Are and What We Experience. Your life and your reality exist within your thought world. What you are thinking and meditating on today, you will live in reality in your tomorrows. What You Think About Will Come About. Your thoughts go out, create, and bring back to you what they created. How many have ever said concerning a situation, I fear this is going to be bad! and it was bad? Or, It s flu season. I always get the flu, and they get the flu. Coincidence? No. You are sending out creative thoughts that bring back to you what they create. Have you ever wondered why Job went through what he went through? Job 3:25-26 Job stated very clearly, what he feared had come upon him. What I Dreaded has happened to me, I have no peace, no quietness; I have no rest, but only turmoil. Job had thoughts of fear and dread. So, what came upon Job? All of his Negative thinking of fearful and dreadful thoughts created and brought upon him self those fearful and dreadful results. When Job s thinking changed about God and his 3 friends, Job s life changed. Thoughts become reality. What You Think About Will Come About. This is great insight if you use it. You can obtain tremendous insight about your life as to why it has taken the turns it has, but more importantly, you can transport your life to where you desire for it to go. So, how does a person make a creative good thought and empower that thought, turning that thought into reality? Is that Biblically possible? Jesus said it was just that easy.

3 Mark 11:24, Therefore I say unto you, what things so-ever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them. Would it be safe to say according to the preceding scriptures, that if I wanted something in my life, but did not have it, I have not properly done what Jesus said to do? Or, was Jesus confused about this? Jesus gave us the secret of creative thinking. The secret is in what is your desire. The secret to desire is simple but powerful. Here is the progression to desire; formulate a thought, accept that thought as true and then see it as completed by God in you. 1 John 5:15 And if we know that He [God] hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him. Our God will hear what we ask, but we have what we desire. It is interesting that the Greek Word translated Ask and Desired as the same word aiteo (Strong s #0154). The word is translated as craved, requiring, called, require. Gold Nugget: It is when you move beyond asking, and empower what you desire with craving, believing that the desired things will come to you. Everything you have that matters came because you desired it. I am doing what I am doing this moment because of desire. We created a great church because we desired it. We have beautiful things because we desired to have them. I have a great life and family because I desired to have a loving peaceful family. You will never do anything major in life without Desire. Desire is the secret to creative thinking. Desire sends out thoughts and words that create and attract back to us what things so-ever we desire. WHAT IS DESIRE? Desire IS Emotionally Energized Focused Thinking. Jesus said, Do not doubt in your heart. You must put and keep your heart in it through feelings, emotions, reasoning, and maintaining the right attitudes. When you desire something, you will not allow it to get out of your mind. Desire is what energizes you. You go to bed thinking about it. You awake thinking about it. You dream about it. You imagine life with it. You think about what you will do with it when you possess it. Your hearts desires will create, draw and attract to you the What-So-Ever Mark 11:24. What do you really desire in life? Do you know that most people do not know what they desire? Could you write what you passionately desire for your life?

4 Many of us with our evangelical training are not able to because we are not trained and have not been taught that we can create what we desire in life. We just go through life Asking. When I question people concerning what they desire, their answers are scattered, which means, their thoughts are scattered. Scattered thoughts mean a scattered life. Not knowing what you desire in life but always expecting to have a great life, is like asking directions to go somewhere when you don t know where you want to go. I ask Where do you want to go? The answer is Somewhere. Like Dorothy s song in the Wizard of Oz, Somewhere over the rainbow. It is impossible to get directions if you don t know where you are at in life and this will make it impossible to know where you want to go in life. These are tools that will help you. First, re-focus which means to re-shift your thinking from desires of what I want in life to redefining the word desire to mean what I want to become in life. Set aside a good portion of time and sit down, and write out in as much detail as you can the things you desire to become in your life. What do you desire to become? What do you desire to do in life that will matter to yourself and others? Do you desire another job? Doing what? Where? Jesus said, Say to This Mountain. Which mountain? This Mountain become very vocal about a specific focus of your This you cannot have what you desire until you know what it is you desire. Gold Nugget: You take the thought, empower it with desire and live in the reality of its manifestation and it will come to you in due season. Mark 11:24 Jesus said, I say unto you, what things so-ever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them [desires] and you shall have them [desires]. Often our prayers are our to do lists for God. That is not what Jesus said to do in prayer that creates. Jesus said, When you pray, pray the desire and believe that you receive what you have desired for. Gold Nugget: Make - Believe is made up of two words MAKE and BELIEVE. Sound out these two words as the single syllables they are Make - Believe. You make out the definitions for what you believe. Jesus said you have to mentally possess it. We call this in the Kingdom making a Mental Accession. How many of us have ever said something like, I wanted it so badly that I could taste it? You usually say that in past tense meaning you got whatever it was and that you could mentally taste it and got it quickly. You have had dreams so real that you smelled odors, heard sounds, saw colors and details. Then one day, you literally walked into that dream and it became a reality. In reality, you created it with your imagination. One of the primary things a car salesperson will do is get you into a car/truck. If that vehicle does not feel right, the salesperson will get

5 you into another until you find one that feels right. The salesperson wants you to imagine yourself in that car. It is then you will obtain the vehicle. You know that is true. The prayer Jesus said when you pray, it was to be a prayer that you would feel it. Prayer that feels is best describe as the way you would feel when what your desires actually arrive. You need to do what you can to better feel what you are asking and believing. A Truth - When you properly desire, you automatically make believe meaning you automatically imagine having it. We loose focus for two basic reasons: (1) doubt in our heart; and (2) not forgiving bitterness toward people. Let s look at the verse before and after Mark 11:24. Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto This Mountain, Be removed, and be cast into the sea; and Shall Not Doubt In His Heart, but shall Believe that those things which he has said shall come to pass; This Man Shall Have Whatsoever He Said. Jesus continue on to say at this point, therefore I say unto you, what-so-ever you Desire, when you pray, believe that you Receive them [desires], and you shall have them meaning the desires, and when you stand praying, Forgive, if you have ought against any. Doubt and un-forgiveness will stop the most powerful desires from manifesting into your reality. So, how does a person stay focused? First, you must find a way to remain focused. You are busy and if not cautious, you will allow stuff to unplug your focus. One of the best ways is to begin a Focus Board. This is a board with pictures, quotes or anything that will keep you focused on your primary desired thoughts. Example = Jacob shows us a Biblical Focus Board in Gen. 30. In this scripture, verses 35-43, Laban believes he has tricked Jacob leaving him with all dark colored animals. Jacob believed that what you see you become so he cut down branches and made them black and white striped. Jacob then placed these striped branches in front of the feeding and watering trough areas. As the animals came to eat, over time they began to breed. The striped branches were always in front of the animals. As a result the animals produced striped offspring or what was in front of them. Use a cork-board with pictures positioned in your office where you can see what you want to manifest. Do this everyday. You can also use your refrigerator or bathroom so you can see it first thing every morning and so it will be the last thing you see every night. Your other focus board could be on the desktop of your PC. Be sure to place focus boards where you will see them daily. This practice is to see yourself manifesting the character of what you desire to become. Example = Repeat these statements below from a genuine Desire you have created within your emotions every morning for 30 days. Do not miss a single day. Feel your desire let your emotions rise with enthusiasm to create in whatever your Spirit may lead. Begin to chart your emotions daily. Record everyday encounters with people.

6 I desire to be a blessing to someone who will cross my path today. I desire to serve You God by helping someone today. I desire to encourage someone today. I desire to give something of myself to someone today. Remembering your focus board can be internalized in five stages through writing through speaking through whispering through thinking through uninterrupted inner repetition If you use a focus board, or something like it, to cause you to focus on the thoughts directing your life, it will be a very helpful tool. Jesus would go off alone to pray and meditate early in the morning and all during the day. He would focus His thoughts on His Father s Intentions for His life. Important Questions On what do you do to focus your thoughts? Anything? What kind of character do you desire? Where do you desire to grow and go in the Lord? What kind of a man / woman, husband / wife, or father / mother do you Desire to become? Drive your life to these things by empowering your thoughts with Desire. Jesus said in Mark 11:24 do not doubt in your heart, but believe. Do you have any idea how many thoughts you have a day? You must battle and smash doubtful thoughts and replace them with thoughts of belief. Gold Nugget: By conducted research on the physiology people behavior patterns it was discovered how people s minds actually work. People on average in the Untied States have about 45,000 conscious and sub-conscious thoughts in a single day. Taking into consideration that we are living in the Western hemisphere at least half of the people conscious and sub-conscious thoughts are negative this comes to approximately about 22,500 negatives thoughts a person has each day consciously and subconsciously.

7 We know that our thoughts can control our emotions and our emotions turn into our physiological make up. Unfortunately 95% of those thoughts we had today are the same repeat of the ones we had yesterday! I did the math and at the low end, it works out that if we have about 22,500 negative/backward thoughts in a day. This comes to over 157 thousands negative/backward thoughts a week. That calculates into approximately over 8 million negative/backward thoughts a year. With all these negative energies living, working and flowing through and from us do we dare wonder why our lives, homes, health, children, businesses, occupations, and finances are in such a mess? The reason for much of the trouble in our lives is due to the fact that we have created our mess with our undisciplined negative/backward thinking. I say backward because you are literally causing your Desires to back away from us and attracting to us the things we Do Not desire because of our negative thinking Paul writes to his church and explains in 2 Corinthians 10:5. You should be casting down vain imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the Knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity Every Thought to the obedience of Christ. (Message Bible) We use powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies (and) tearing down barriers erected against the Truth of God, fitting Every loose thought, emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Why did Paul say that? It is because Every Thought Is Powerful. Every thought has the ability to bring upon your life good or bad. You must capture every loose thought and smash it. How do you do that? How do you capture over 8 million negative thoughts a year and smash them? Replacement Thinking My point is not only do we try to stop thinking bad thoughts, but we re-educate our minds by renewing our minds to Christ mindedness. We must learn the art of replacement thinking, which is replacing the negative thoughts we have with its conversation with positive thoughts with positive confessional conversations. After identifying your personal negative thoughts and beliefs, write them out in sentence form you can declare. Example: Dislike category I am sick with flu like symptoms. Like category I am healthy and I believe that I am improving. Dislike category - I have the thought and belief that I am sick with the flu. Like category - I am healthy and I have NO sickness in my body. Make a daily consciously deliberate chose to monitor your talk and replace any negative words that you hear yourself speak with 5 positive words. 1 Peter 2:24 By His stripes I am healed!

8 Begin to see yourself healthy and doing things you cannot now do. Do not stop taking medication or treatments, but see yourself finishing them. You will find that when negative thoughts or beliefs come up, you will immediately go to the replacement belief instead of the old negative belief. Mark 11:25 Jesus said, When you stand praying, Forgive, if you have ought against any About the time you get your focus board of Desires and start to smash your doubtful thinking, along comes someone that angers you. You then become angry and bitter. The angry then robs you of your focused desires. The Word of God encourages and charges us, not to let the sun go down on your anger. Correct your emotion and personally take no offense. Ephesians 4:26 Get those bad thoughts out of your soul for they are sending out backward thinking. Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with your entire Mind. This is the First and Greatest Commandment. The Second is like it: Love Your Neighbor as Yourself. All the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments. Gold Nugget: The greatest fulfillment of anything is to become what you pursue. We all want love and look for love, but it is not until we become love and give love that we truly approach God and get somewhere in life. Loving with the heart, soul, and mind all deal with our thoughts. Jesus taught from the heart comes thoughts. The soul is your processing area for attitudes, emotions, and your will. The mind simply creates what the soul must process. You will never Love the Lord, anyone else, or yourself until you love with your thoughts. Jesus said Love your neighbor as yourself. Why should I love myself? Jesus did not mean some vain conceited arrogant love of self. He meant a powerful healthy feeling about you. How do you feel about yourself? Before you can have powerful creative thoughts for your life, you must Love Yourself. Ask yourself these questions: 1. Do you feel that you are an attractive person? 2. What does attractive mean? 3. Does it mean you attract people and things to your life? 4. If you do not believe you are attractive then how will you attract good people and good things to your life? People with low self-esteem believe they are victims of society victims of bad parenting, victims of bad physical appearance, bad health, bad environment, and bad education. They blame something for their lack of success.

9 Gold Nugget: There Are no Victims, ONLY Creators. We all become what we think. We use life to create who we are. What you think about comes about. Unforgiving people simply do not love their selves. When you love yourself, it does not matter what anyone says about you or does to you. You know who you are! Neither does it matter what anyone else does. Therefore you can love people as you love yourself. Do you look for love, or have you become love? Everything in your life hangs on this are you an attractive person? Do you feel you are an attractive individual? If you do not believe you are an attractive person then how will you ever attract good people or good things to and into your life? Make a written list of all the wonderful things about yourself. As you begin to list them, you will feel confidence building inside of you. Focus on these things. As you do, you will begin attracting good people and good things. Your thoughts are powerful they make you who and what you are today. Today s thoughts create tomorrow s reality. Desire is the secret to creative thinking. If you do not Desire it, you will not create it. God created you in his image. You create the rest of the entirely what make up your life world. Nothing exists that did not first exist in pure thought. You bring upon you what you think good or bad. You can capture and smash doubtful thinking replacing it with thoughts of belief. Love is the greatest/highest/most powerful commandment. You can create anything with love.
