1 1 الحمد هلل رب العالمين والثناء هلل وصلى هللا على سيدنا كثيرا كلما ذكر الذاكرون وغفل عن ذكره الغافلون أما بعد بسم هللا الرحمن الرحيم محمد النبي األمي و على آله الطيبيب الطاهرين وسلم تسليما مسجد محمد "Masjedu Muhammad\ " Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam in الطائف Taa-ef\ Al Ibnu إبن إسحاقIshaaq said: "In consequence of the growing hostility of Quraysh\ قريش after Aboo Taaleb's\ أبوطالب death, the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam went to Al Taa,الطائفef to seek help from the tribe of Thaqeef\ ثقيف and their defence against his tribe. Also he hoped that they would receive the message which Allaah\ هللا had given him. He went alone. When the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam arrived at Al,الطائفTaa-ef he made for a number of ثقيفThaqeef who were at that time leaders and chiefs, namely three brothers: 'Abdu Yaa Layl\ يا ليل,عبد Mas'ood\ مسعود and Habeeb\ حبيب sons of 'Amr عمرو بن عوف عقدة بن غيارة بن عوف بن ben 'Awf ben 'Uqdah ben Gheyaarah ben 'Awf ben Thaqeef.بني جمح Jumah\ wife of the Banee قريش Qurayshe\ One of them had a.ثقيف \ The Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam sat with them and invited them to accept Islam and asked them to help him against his opponents at home. One of them swore that he would tear up the covering of the Ka'bah\ الكعبة if هللاAllaah had sent him. The other said: "Could not هللاAllaah found someone better than you to send?" The third said: "By,هللاAllaah don't let me ever speak to you. If you are a Messenger from هللاAllaah as you say you are, you are far too important for me to reply to, and if you are lying against,هللاallaah it is not right that I ahould speak to you." So, the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam got up and.ثقيف Thaqeef\ went, despairing of getting any good out of I have been told that he said to them: "إن فعلتم ما فعلتم فاكتموا عني ". "Seeing that you have acted as you have, keep the matter secret", for he was loath that his people sgould hear about it, so that they would be still further emboldened against him.

2 2 But they did not do so and stirred up their louts and slaves to isnsult him and cry after him until a crowd came together, and compelled him to take refuge in an orchard belonging to 'Utbah ben Rabee'ah\ عتبة بن ربيعة and his brother Shaybah ben Rabee'ah\ بن ربيعة,شيبة (Both were later killed in the Battle of Badr\ بدر (غزوة who were in it at the time. The louts who had followed him went back, and he made for the shade of a vine and sat there while the two men watched him, obeserving what he had to endure from the local louts. When the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam reached safety, he said, I am told: "اللهم اليك أشكو ضعف قوتي وقلة حيلتي وهواني على الناس يا أرحم الراحمين أنت رب المستضعفين وأنت ربي الى من تكلني الى بعيد يتجهمني أم إلى عدو ملكته أمري إن لم يكن بك غضب علي فال أبالي ولكن عافيتك هي أوسع لي أعوذ بنور وجهك الذي اشرقت له الظلمات وصلح عليه أمر الدنيا واآلخرة من أن تنزل بي غضبك أو تحل علي سخطك لك العتبى حتى ترضى وال حول وال قوة اال بك." "O Allaah\!هللا To You I complain of my weakness, little resource, and lowliness before men. O Most Merciful, You are the Lord of the weak, and you are my Lord. To whom will You confide me? To one afar who will misuse me? Or to an enemy to whom You has given power over me? If You are not angry with me, I care not. Your favour is more wide for me. I take refuge in the Light of Your Contenance by which the darkness is illuminated, and the things of this world and the next are rightly ordered, lest Your anger descend upon me or Your wrath light upon me. It is for You to be satisfied until You are pleased. There is no power and no might save in You." When 'Utbah\ عتبة and Shaybah\ شيبة saw what happened they were moved with compassion and called a young Christian slave of theirs called 'Addaas\ عداس and told him to take a bunch of grapes on a platter and give them to him to eat.

3 3 'Addaas\ عداس did so, and when the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam put his hand in the platter and before eating he said: ".هللا Allaah\ "In the Name of 'Addaas\ عداس looked closely into his face and said: "By!هللاAllaah This is not the way the people of this country speak!" The Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam then asked: "بسم هللا." " ومن أهل أي بالد أنت يا عداس وما دينك " "Then from what country do you come, O 'Addaas\?عداس and what is your religion?" He replied that he was a Christian and came from Ninevah\ نينوى (In north 'Eraaq\ العراق untill today). The Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam then said: "من قرية الرجل الصالح يونس بن متى."!" يونس بن متىMattaa "From the town of the righteous man Yoonus the son of sعداسaddaa ' said: "But how did you know about him?" The Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam replied: "He is my brother; he was a Prophet and I am a Prophet!" "ذلك أخي كان نبيا وأنا نبي." عداسAddaas ' bent over him and kissed his head, his hands, and his feet. The two brothers were looking on and one said to the other: "He's already corrupted your slave!" And when عداسAddaas ' came back they said to him: "Your rascal, why were you kissing that man's head, hands, and feet?" He answered that he was the finest man in the country who had told him things that only a Prophet could know. They replied: "You rascal, don't let him seduce you from your religion, for its better than his." Then the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam returned ".ثقيف Thaqeef\ when he depaired of getting anything out of الطائف Taa-ef\ from Al End quotation of Ibnu Ishaaq.

4 4 Al Qastalaanee\ القسطالني said: "The Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam went to Al Taaef \ الطائف three months after the death of,خديجةkhadeejah when few days were left of the month of Shawwaal \ شوال of the tenth year of Prophet Hood." He further said: "Together with him was Zayd ben بن حارثةHaarethah.زيد The Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam stayed in Al Taa-ef \ الطائف for one month, calling the leaders of Thaqeef \ ثقيف to Allaah\,هللا and they rejected him." Moosaa ben 'Uqbah\ موسى بن عقبة in his Seerah Book said: "They stoned his heels, Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam, until his shoes became red of his blood." Sulaymaan Al Taymeyye \ سليمان التيمي added to that and said: "When the pain becomes to much to bear, the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam would sit down on the ground, and when he does so, they would come and raise him to the standing position and when he starts walking again they would continue to stone him. All these times Zayd ben زيد بن حارثةHaarethah will stand between the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam and the coming stones, and protect his body with him. This way, Zayd ben زيد بن حارثةHaarethah was wounded, especially in his head, with deep cuts and wounds.".لقسطالنيqastalaanee End quote from Al When he left the prchard of the 'Utbah ben Rabee'ah\ عتبة بن ربيعة and his brother Shaybah ben Rabee'ah\ شيبة بن ربيعة to return to Makkah Al Mukarramah\ المكرمة,مكة the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa Sallam, he offered his obligatory prayer in a cave few hundred meters from the orchard. Muslims later built a masjed on that spot, and named it "Masjedu Muhammad Sallam. Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa "مسجد محمد This masjed is in ruin today: the roof has come down and parts of the walls. Even the colour is gone. Who hates this Masjed and why? Who hates the heritage of Prophet Muhammad Sallaa Allaahu 'Alayhe Wa 'Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam so much and why?
