2 ****Important Information concerning your Tithe & Offering Envelopes**** Greetings Saints, I pray that your New Year has begun with an extra blessing. Please accept my sincerest apology for the tardiness and confusion over the envelope pick up process this year. I would also like to apologize for the tardiness in receiving your year-end tax statements. Please know that all statements are available today and can be picked up after service. We are in constant pursuit of perfection and are constantly working on solutions that will prevent similar problems from occurring in the future. With that being said, the plan is to make all envelopes available during the month of December. In addition, we have changed several aspects of our contribution procedure. By this time I m sure everyone has noticed that the membership number has been removed from your envelope. This change was made in order for the Church as a whole to have greater usage of the envelopes; in the event members did not pick them up. We are requesting that each member print legibly your name and member number on each envelope each time you use them. This will allow for less error while recording your giving. We ve also made changes to the way tithing and offerings will be recorded. In the past we have used an outside resource company. We will no longer utilize their services as we have found software available that allows internal record keeping and produces IRS approved statements at the end of the year. This change will also assist us with keeping cost down. It is really important that you help us to maintain accurate record keeping by doing your part. Please, be careful to print your name, offering amount, and member number legibly before you placing your offering in the plate. If you do not know your member number, please, still print your name and amount then forward your inquiry to the Church Clerk, Sis LaTonya Mabine. I apologize for any inconvenience but prayerfully as a Church we can continue to grow and learn together. The Church of the Redeemer Baptist shall be a place to worship, a place devoted to community activities and affairs, a place to embrace and enrich the total life of man spiritually, politically, educationally, socially, morally and economically. Building Together in Faith To build a house for God and God s people to worship, fellowship, disciple, educate and serve. Now set your mind and heart to seek the Lord your God. Go and build the sanctuary of the Lord God so that the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord and the holy vessels of God may be brought into a house built for the name of the Lord..and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: I Chronicles 22:19 NRSV Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven. James 5:14, 15

Croft, Sr., D. Min., PhD Pastor SCRIPTURE READING Psalm 1 1 Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path that sinners tread, or sit in the seat of scoffers; 2 but their delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law they meditate day and night. 3 They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper. 4 The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; 6 for the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. 1 Peter 4:10...serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.
