Summer Worship and Sunday School Time Change Starting June 3rd, we will start a new schedule for Sunday School and Worship: Fellowship/Coffee Time will start at 9:30 a.m. Worship will start at 10:00 a.m. Sunday School will start at 11:00 a.m. The decision to change the schedule was made by Church Council, Christian Education Committee, Worship Planning, and Spiritual Leadership Team. We will resume our traditional worship and Sunday School schedule in September. The purpose for the change is to allow people to study the scriptures beforehand and then respond to the pastor's sermon in Sunday School following the worship service. Work Camp The Kitchen Crew for Work Camp is looking for cooks! In the lobby you will find items to make at home during the week of work camp and deliver to the church for our students to enjoy. Please sign up for items you would be willing to cook. Questions? Ask Lu or Megan. Gifts Discernment Committee Ballot Gifts Discernment Committee Ballots have been placed in mailboxes. Completed ballots are due today and should be placed in the box in the foyer.

5 NOTICES, continued (page 2) Breakfast Casseroles Needed: DNA is serving breakfast for community meal this month on the 26th. Sue Hostetler would like to take the lead on facilitation of breakfast casseroles here at Sharon. If you would like to make and bake a breakfast casserole for DNA or donate to the purchase of the ingredients for a casserole, please see Sue Hostetler, Thank You. The recipe can be found here: This is also a community meal that requires distribution of supplies from the personal needs pantry, if you d like to help in that effort, please see Pastor Jared. Missions Committee: Blessings Bags will be available for people to take home this Sunday in the lobby. Please take as many bags as you think your family could use over the summer months. Bags left over after June 3 rd will be donated to Faith Missions downtown. Please ask a member of Missions if you have any questions. Memorial Garden informational meeting There will be a Memorial Garden informational meeting June 3, 2018 at 6 PM in the Mezzanine. The Memorial Garden Committee was established by Sharon Mennonite Church several years ago for the purpose of creating an outdoor location for the interment of ash remains for members choosing cremation. The committee is working on developing ideas and options for the church's memorial garden, with the goal of providing option(s) for families choosing cremation. Various options will be presented at this meeting. Come with your questions and ideas. Ken Sims, Memorial Garden Chr St. John Softball League This week s game will take place at 4:10 p.m., Sharon Mennonite vs Hilliard CofC. There will be no game next week due to the Memorial Day Holiday. To confirm games are being played in case of inclement weather, please call the St. John s Sports line at and select option 3.

In order to avoid this fee, the lids must close properly without resistance. Material must be in the container, not on top of lids, not protruding from the container, or left on ground outside container. Please use care when placing refuse in the container to ensure that the church does not incur additional charges.

This person will provide leadership to regional peace and justice programs related to the MCC strategic priorities of restorative justice, immigration, dismantling the Doctrine of Discovery, gun violence prevention, countering militarism and undoing racism and sexism. Responsibilities include speaking in churches, planning and leading learning tours, representing MCC in various settings and fostering good relationships between MCC and constituents. This fulltime salaried position will be located in Goshen, Ind., and has education, networking and capacity-building components with MCC s diverse constituency in the Great Lakes region. Proceeds from our annual Festival and Benefit Auction benefit the school and help keep tuition affordable.
