1 February 2018 Visit us online: Peanut Butter Egg Making Begins It s time for peanut butter egg making! Egg making takes place at 9:00 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Lunch is provided! We need all of the volunteers we can get! The goal this year is 20,000 eggs! The Women s Ministry will donate $10,000 from this fundraiser to the building fund. Not only will you help reach the goal, you will also have an opportunity to get to know some of your Cross Point Church family better. Even if you can only help 1 day a week, all help is greatly appreciated! HELP FEED THE EGG MAKERS: If you are unable to help make eggs, would you consider providing lunch for the egg making volunteers? 3 Touch LIFE Prayer Ministry My House will be known as a house of prayer, Jesus said in Matthew 21. Touch LIFE Prayer Ministry invites you to join them in praying for the lost. We all have family and friends that do not know the Lord Jesus Christ and the forgiveness of sin only He can offer. Who can you pray for? The Women s Book Club will meet Tuesday, February 20th at 10:30 a.m. in the church lobby. Mary Toney will facilitate this month s discussion about Same Kind of Different as Me by Ron Hall, Denver Moore and Lynn Vincent. This book is the story of an international art dealer, Ron Hall, who must befriend a dangerous homeless man in order to save his struggling marriage to his wife, a woman whose Touch LIFE Prayer Ministry meets the first Sunday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in Room 105 for a time of prayer for salvation for the lost. The next Touch LIFE prayer gathering will be Sunday February 4. Women s Book Club dreams will lead all three of them on the journey of their lives. Copies of the book are available at the Welcome Center. If there is a 2 hour delay for schools, the book club will meet at 10:00 a.m. If school is cancelled we will not meet and that month s book selection will be discussed the following month. Breakthrough Gathering Announcement We will not have Breakthrough in February, March, or April. The next Breakthrough will be May 6. Inclement Weather Policy The Elder Board and Pastoral Staff will make the decision whether or not to have church when the weather is bad. The church will utilize the church notification system, web site, facebook, and twitter, to inform members if church is cancelled on Sundays and Wednesdays. We hope this will help you know about our church services in the event of bad weather. We understand that church attendance is important, but we also do not want to risk the lives of our church family when the weather is threatening. Cross Point s facebook page can be found at: facebook.com/beckleycrosspoint Prayer Chain Prayer is a powerful tool we have as Christians. As a church family we can help lift each other up in prayer. One way we do this at Cross Point is through our Prayer Chain. The prayer chain is a group of people who have opted in to receive prayer requests. When an urgent prayer request is received, it is sent to this group using our church notification system. Each member then receives the request so they can begin praying for the need. Individuals who would like to be added to the prayer chain should contact Justin Davis in the church office at (304) To submit a prayer request, follow this procedure: Monday-Thursday 9:00a.m. 3:00p.m.: Call the church office at: (304) All other times, call Justin Davis at (304) If no answer, leave a message and Justin will put it on the prayer chain as soon as possible. Rent A Youth Is there a job on your to do list that you just don t have time or you don t want to do? Why not rent one of our youth to help with your chores? Money raised from Rent A Youth helps our youth attend various youth activities. If you are interested in renting one or more of our youth, see Pastor Rob. Don t Throw Away Those Cans! The youth ministry has been collecting aluminum cans to be recycled to raise money to support youth activities. You can drop off your aluminum cans at the church during office hours (Monday Thursday 9AM -3PM). There is a collection can near the gym. Help support our youth and save our environment!
