2 Slovakia June 29-July 12 We will be traveling to Velky Krtis, Slovakia to work with Scottsdale Bible missionary, Paval Sinko, Noah Johnson, and Meghan and Chello Johnson, who currently work with International Needs (I.N.) Network. I.N. ministers to the outcasts in society through music outreach, a local tea house (called the Agape House), and summer English camps. For more About International Needs Network, visit: We have the chance to partner with the Agape House which is a local youth center where the young people of Slovakia come to spend time. This gives our students a great chance to share their faith and have spiritual conversations while learning how to witness outside of the confines of a church setting. There will also be service projects at the Tea House and in the surrounding areas where students will have a chance to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Students will be serving and working with the Gypsy community, and providing local outreach events to the community. Upon completion of our time working with our missionaries in Velky Krtis, the team will spend a day or two debriefing in Budapest where we will stay in a local hotel and enjoy some fun team time and debrief about our experiences. This trip is centered around evangelism and loving any and everyone that God brings into our path. Students will be given several opportunities to share their faith and to have conversations with locals about their own views on faith. I believe this trip helps equip students for real world evangelism where they are challenged to look for opportunities to guide a conversation towards the things of God. The team stays in a hostile that is located in Velky Krtis near the tea house. The trip is being planned for June 29-July 12. The cost of the trip will be roughly $2,800.

3 Dominican Republic June 27-July 6 We will be returning to work with our partners at Younglife in the Dominican Republic. This has been an ongoing relationship that continues to grow each year as we see more and more students work hard and connect with the people of DR. This is a trip for those that love to get things done and come home seeing that they have accomplished something tangible as the majority of this trip is centered around building and developing the Younglife Camp in the Dominican Republic. Students will work alongside those involved in Younglife leadership to improve and create a facility for the Gospel to be presented to hundreds of students a year through the ministry of Younglife. This trip is a work trip which always lends itself to developing a great team and united experience of accomplishment together. This trip will create a strong work ethic in our students as well as instill in the joy of accomplishing big projects through working as a team. We believe this trip will enable our students to embrace Central American culture. This trip will be labor intensive and highly relational as we work alongside the Dominican people and those in need which will instill a work ethic and heart for the people of the Dominican Republic and their culture. Students will be staying at the Younglife camp. Each student will also have the chance for a homestay for one night of the trip. The trip is being planned for June 27 July 6. The cost of the trip will be roughly $1,700.

4 Costa Rica July 6-14 We will be returning to work with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) is a Christian missionary organization working to spread the gospel across the world and build young students into leaders in their communities. Our team will be partnering with the YWAM missionaries in rural Costa Rica to help serve the small villages and share the gospel. We ll be traveling to the area of Guanacaste, a rural region made up of farmland and small towns. Students will have the chance to share their faith in surrounding villages and towns by distributing bibles, praying with those in need and doing local outreach events. We will be serving in the community by providing VBS for young children as well as reaching out to the youth of Costa Rica through soccer ministry. We will have the chance to speak to the youth of Guanacaste during the YWAM outreach events. This trip is designed to develop the skill of sharing your testimony in any circumstance as students will be given opportunities daily to share how God has impacted their lives through conversation. We believe this trip will enable our students to embrace Central American culture, develop an eye opening experience of what need looks like in another country as well as give our students a confidence in sharing their faith and reaching out to those around them whenever God gives them the opportunity to bring Him glory. This trip will be labor intensive and highly relational as we work alongside the Costa Rican people and those in need which will instill a work ethic and heart for the people of Costa Rica and their culture. Students will be staying in the YWAM camp in rural Guanacaste. The trip is being planned for July 6- July 14. The cost of the trip will be roughly $1,700.

Argentina June 27-July 12 We have the chance this year to work again with our ministry partners in Argentina. SBC has been long time partners with a La Puerta Abierta church in Argentina.

He has a great vision and desire to work with the students of HSM in working together to impact the community and reach young people of Argentina with the gospel.

5 Argentina June 27-July 12 We have the chance this year to work again with our ministry partners in Argentina. SBC has been long time partners with a La Puerta Abierta church in Argentina. Diego Asetias is the current youth pastor at La Puerta Abierta and has been actively involved in the ministry at the church for over 20 years. He has a great vision and desire to work with the students of HSM in working together to impact the community and reach young people of Argentina with the gospel. We will be working in direct partnership with the leadership of the church as well as working inside of the community as we serve the poor and needy of Argentina. Because of the ongoing relationship with the church we will have the opportunity to serve alongside several of the Argentine students in reaching the community with the gospel. We will have the opportunity to work with a location called La Cava which is a poor and desperately needy area of Buenos Aires doing homeless ministry as well as community service projects. We truly want this trip to be life changing for our students as well as for the people we are serving so we are currently working on the opportunities available for us to do work that will have long term and high impact effects for those that we are serving. We believe this trip will enable our students to embrace South American culture, develop an eye opening experience of what need looks like in another country as well as give our students a confidence in sharing their faith and reaching out to those around them whenever God gives them the opportunity to bring Him glory. This trip will be labor intensive and highly relational as we work alongside the Argentine Christians and those in need which will instill a work ethic and heart for the people of Argentina and their culture. This trip will be largely based on students staying in homes with the people from La Puerta Abierta. Two to three students will be paired with an Argentine family and stay with them during our time on the trip. This is a great opportunity to embrace the culture of Argentina and develop long time friendships with each other. The trip is being planned for June 27- July 12. The cost of the trip will be roughly $2,700.

6 Guatemala June 29-July 9 This year we have the opportunity to begin a new trip for HSM with one of our longtime missionaries Isaias Colop Xec. Isaias has been active in training up young pastors and leaders in Guatemala and equipping them to go out and plant churches to the Mayan and Quiche people of Guatemala. What we will do Isaias has expressed a need and desire to have our students come help lead several ministries that will have a direct impact on the surrounding community. We will be leading youth outreach events at the church, running a Volleyball and Basketball clinic to reach out to the surrounding young people in the area. We will have the privilege of getting to speak in several of the public schools in Guatemala as students will have the chance to share their testimonies with local kids as they help them learn English. We will also be using a locally owned radio station to broadcast the Word of God to the surrounding area by allowing students to share their testimony on air as well as inviting the community to the church for a concert and outreach night that we will be hosting. Finally Isaias has expressed a real need for local pastors to be trained on how to reach the younger generation so students will have the chance to share their experiences in HSM and church in America with local pastors to help equip them with ministry ideas for reaching the youth of Guatemala. So many churches in Guatemala are lacking a ministry intentionally focused on reaching youth so this opportunity to meet with local pastors will be a great opportunity to impact the men and women that will be doing the work of God in Guatemala for years to come. I believe this trip will instill a sense of evangelism in our students as they have a chance to share their faith through several different outlets and trust that God will use them to draw people to Himself as result of their willingness to share their story of redemption. I also believe this trip will enable students to think about how and why ministry is done to reach their culture which will create a passion in them to own their faith and their own ministry when they return home. Depending on the size of the trip the students will be either staying at the local church or have the opportunity to have home stays with families from the church we will be working with. Either way our students will have a chance to embrace the culture of Guatemala. The dates of this trip may shift 1 to 2 days forward or backwards based on the local schools schedules but the trip is being planned for June 29-July9. The cost of the trip will be roughly $1,700.

7 Czech Republic June 29-July 14 This year we are excited that our students will have the opportunity to travel to the Czech Republic on a 16-day mission trip! The goal of the Czech Republic mission trip is to spread the gospel in a highly atheistic country through the means of an English Camp that is put on and produced by a joint partnership between our team and Josiah Venture, a ministry in the Czech. What will we do? The vast majority of this trip will be relationship building between our students and Czech students who do not yet know and trust Jesus. A total of 8-9 days will be spent with the Czech students, which includes 5 days of English Camp and 3 days of homestays in the homes of Czech students. Training Throughout the year, leading up to the trip, there will be extensive training on how to interact with Czech students and teach English as well as training and discipleship to spiritually prepare our students for the trip. For many, teaching English seems like a daunting task and can be a barrier to entry. But the curriculum is pre-made for the most part and our students will be teamed up with Interns from Josiah Venture who host these camps on a regular basis. This part of the trip should be the easiest for our students since it is pre-planned so that they can focus their energy on relationship building instead of prepping for their teaching. English Camp The actual camp is 5 days and only 3 hours a day will be spent teaching English to the Czech students. The rest of the day is programmed out and contains free time where our students will build friendships with the Czech students and look for opportunities to share their faith. At night we will host a program where we sing, dance, play games and most importantly hear from a message in the bible. After the message we will break up into discussion groups. These groups are designed to be open and should lead the Czech students to learn about Jesus Christ, whom most have never heard of before. Home Stays At the conclusion of English Camp, we will travel to a nearby large Czech city where the Czech students live and we will stay in their homes to continue building relationships. Many Czech students come to faith during these homestays and friendships are made since it is a more intimate setting where they can relax with our students. We will have events at the local church and live life with the Czech students and their families. Debriefing Finally, we will go to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. Here we will debrief the trip with our students in order to solidify their experience and to pray with one another. We will also spend an entire day getting to experience one of the most beautiful cities in Eastern Europe. : The trip will be from June 29-July 14 and will cost roughly $2,700.
