Motion carried. Pastor Paul Andree shared his Pastoral Acts conducted during Congregation was asked to review reports as printed. A discrepancy in The Avenue of the Flags was noted by Leann Buendorf. Total receipts should reflect $ and not $ Also, noted by Barb Finseth the balance date reflected in the WELCA report should read 12/31/15 and not 12/31/14. Also, the Cemetery Report was submitted by Mary Berg which was not reflected. Alter Guild balance on hand date should read Jan 1, 2016 and not Jan 1, No discrepancies reported in the audit. Mary Berg was recognized for doing a great job. Treasurer s Report was given. Balance at the time of this meeting was -$13, Motion to approve Treasurer s report made by Adryn Peterson, second by Dean Buendorf. Motion carried. Nominating Committee Report was given by Curt Krause. He announced Dave Sandry, Brenda Dobberstein and Tom Pautsch as nominees for TLC council members. Unanimous vote welcomed these new council members. Endowment Fund Report was given. Terry Hansen presented information to the congregation regarding the balances and suggested that if monies are withdrawn for various projects the council should seek advice from a financial advisor before doing so. This would allow withdrawals which would be most advantageous. No old business discussed. New business discussed included repairs to the flat roof above the lounge, entry way and church offices. Also discussed was tuck pointing needed to brick. Estimates have not been received to date, but it is estimated these projects will be upwards to $100, Please note that it is critical these repairs be made during Motion was made by Vince Peterson and second by Leann Buendorf to authorize council to accept bids and hold another congregational meeting once these bids are received. At that time it will be decided which funds will be utilized to appropriate costs. Motion carried. Other new business discussed was recovering the church pews. $3, has been delegated by WELCA to offset cost. Motion to adjourn made by Barb Finseth, second by Arlys Edwards. Motion carried. We have still accomplished much, but it seem like with fewer regular Sunday attendees. This could be a challenge if we let it become one. I am hoping our church community can continue to maintain all of the programs that we have here. As the new year starts I want to say thank you to each member of Trinity for all that they do, financially, talent wise, and time that is put in. Because of everyone involved our church community is enriched and enhanced when everyone is involved. A special thank you to everyone on the church council, Pastor Paul and Rhonda, Mary Berg, financial secretary, our church secretary and custodian. As I said last year lets all commit ourselves to be a welcoming church for new families, and the disenfranchised and our current members. 4 Curt Krause, Council President

5 WORSHIP AND EVANGELISM COMMITTEE REPORT 2016 The Worship and Evangelism Committee would like to express our gratitude to all those who volunteered their time and talent in helping with Trinity Lutheran services this past year. Worship This past year, there were several special worship services at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Lent season started on February 10 using a new video series, which received a lot of positive comments. In July, for Farm & City Days, Pastor Paul led the Sunday service in the park. In November, Trinity hosted a joint Thanksgiving service and on November 27, Just Friends led our Sunday service. During the week of Thanksgiving, Pastor Paul fell and broke his hip, which put him on medical leave. Pastor Espe took over the pastoral duties conducting services on Sundays and confirmation classes on Wednesdays. Due to extreme cold weather, the Sunday School Christmas program was postponed to January 8, It will once again be a no fuss program during the Sunday worship service and will involve audience participation. We continue to print the majority of the service in the weekly bulletin to make it easier to follow the service liturgy. Large print bulletins are offered for each service. For the kids, activity bags are available and are being used regularly. Church bulletins are delivered each week to members in the NRCC and Ecumen. Our purpose and mission is to welcome all guests, new members, and families to worship with us. We thank the Lord for the beauty and comfort of our sanctuary, along with the inspiration that the message, music, and decor provides for everyone who attends our services. Our vision continues to be this: A community of loving disciples, growing in spiritual maturity, following Jesus by actively sharing in God s mission to transform the world. Evangelism Our mission states: We seek to be an instrument of the Holy Spirit by sharing God s love and grace, guiding people to God, and developing fully devoted followers of Jesus. The website for Trinity, as well as the Facebook page, continue to keep members updated with church information and activities. We encourage members to contact Pastor Paul with suggestions. Welcome, Equip and Serve. Respectfully submitted, Curt Krause and Kathy Meyer PROPERTY AND MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE REPORT 2016 As a committee we appreciate all of you that make our church a success. Many members of our congregation do many things around the church and never are told thank you or even noticed that it was done. Anyone who has been on this committee appreciates you and we say Thank You. We put in place the roofing/tuck-pointing project that we were hoping to get started at the end of this year. Do to uncooperative weather this project will not be started until the spring of Many other projects were also completed. Thanks again to all and look forward to Respectfully submitted, Adryn Peterson 5

6 STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE REPORT 2016 The church council members would like to thank everyone who supported Trinity this past year with their gifts of time, talent and financial contributions. It takes all of us working together to make Trinity Lutheran Church an asset to our community. Thank you for contributing to the roof repair and tuck pointing project that will take place in As of 11/30/16, we received $28,442 that is designated for this project. The needs of Trinity continue to exist and increase as we work to maintain our beautiful church building and reach our community with the Gospel of Christ. Thank you to the council and church members who help count offerings on Sundays. Please contact the following for: Need more envelopes: Connie Enestvedt, church secretary or Online giving: Dave Sandry, Carol Raimann or Contribution questions: Mary Berg, financial secretary May God bless you and Trinity Church in Respectfully submitted, Carol Raimann EDUCATION AND YOUTH COMMITTEE REPORT 2016 Sunday School is held every Sunday except the first Sunday of the month so the children can receive the blessing at communion with their parents. The children leave after the children's sermon and have Sunday School for about 45 minutes. They also have music during that time on some Sundays. The K-2 parents have been taking turns teaching while Kathy Meyer, Jenny Thompson and Adryn Peterson have been teaching the 3-5 children. FISH (Fun In Serving Him) is held on Wednesday's after school from 3:30-4:30 for grades 3-6 with Pastor Paul and volunteers. The Christmas program was postponed December 18th due to the weather and rescheduled to January 8th, 2017, the No Stress No Fuss Program was well received last year so the decision was made to do the same program this year. After the program, Sunday School students and parents hosted brunch provided by the Red Leaf Café. Vacation Bible school was held June 19th-23rd with counselor's from Good Earth Village coming for the week for Day Camp. Two youth were confirmed on May 15th. Respectfully submitted, Vanessa Ziemke 6
