Prior to joining OMS, Michael and Vicki started their own ministry, Making Disciples in the Amazon. Vicki attended Geneva College and holds a paralegal certificate from International Correspondence School. They are the parents of nine children, their first mission field, and the family lives on a farm in Pennsylvania. Thank You! Our Appreciation Goes Out To: Our Missionaries, The Butterfly Class Chubby Curtis & Crew, Pastor Bill Lisa White, UMW Circles, Sarah King & Still Waiting, Wendy Swank, Megan & Matt Kennedy, Pam Millspaw and All those who support Missions through their faith pledges and prayers.
5 Tuesday, October 11 th Michael and Vicki Pasterik O.M.S. Michael and Vicki Pasterik serve as church multiplication facilitators with Every Community for Christ, the church multiplication catalyst of One Mission Society, in the Amazon River region of Peru, South America. After several short-term mission trips to the Amazon beginning in 2012, Michael and Vicki began to feel God s call on their lives to provide training for pastors in the Amazon jungle who had no access to professional training. On their several visits, they saw that people in the villages along the Amazon and Napo Rivers had a hunger for God, but few pastors were available to disciple them in their relationship with God. In 2015, their oldest daughter, Victoria, was serving in an internship in Japan with OMS and received training to use Train & Multiply, a method of church planting and church multiplication employed by ECC for potential Christian leaders to evangelize and broaden the reach of the church as a whole. She contacted her parents to tell them about Train & Multiply, believing that it would be beneficial to those they were ministering to in Peru. 9:00 am Mug and Muffin Gathering for Missionaries and Missions Committee 12:00 pm F.U.M.C. 11 OUR MISSIONARIES.. Still Waiting Garrett King - Lead Vocals/Guitar Sarah King - Bass Guitar/Keys/Backup Vocals Jeff Dietz - Lead Guitar Royce King - Drums / Backup Vocals Ashley McKuhn Cello Still Waiting is a Christian rock band from Corry, PA. They are a highenergy hard rock group with hearts set on ministry. Being a rock band is about more than music, it s about a calling. The calling placed in the hearts of these five young adults is to live their lives as musicianaries people who are sharing the good news of Christ through their music. These experienced youth leaders of Northwestern Pennsylvania began their music careers as a youth group band and have since evolved into a local hard rock sensation. Sue Kolljeski The Mission Society Sue leads a small church in the village of Kunyukuo in the Upper West Region of Ghana. She wants the church to be locally led. She is currently working to develop leaders, especially among the youth. In this area where many people follow the traditional religion, it is critical to teach and preach the Word of God clearly and to help others grow as Jesus followers-firm in their faith and in their knowledge of scripture. People in this area call her Maakum which means, grandmother in the local Dagaare language. Several children visit Maakum to play, hear a Bible story and pray. During these times, seeds of faith are being planted in their young hearts.
12 Lynne Mattioli Rachel s Cry Lynne Mattioli resides in Liberty, NC with her husband Dave and daughter, Elizabeth. Lynne has had training as a teacher-trainer for Evangelism Explosion and is currently in the process of completing her degree in Theology from Beacon University. Her ministry has extended beyond the walls of her home, and even to the nations, as she has ministered in Nicaragua to residents of House of Hope. Lynne s heart is to see post-abortive women and men set free from the paralyzing secrets associated with abortion, to see women and men who have experienced any sort of child loss be set free from the devastating effects of their loss, and to see all who desire healing and wholeness from the heart of God to receive it. Her ministry is a long overdue beacon of hope to the hurting men and women left in the wake of abortion and other losses. Equipping the Saints Ministry Rev. Christine Rogan Rev.
