3 Ministry Spotlight: Prayer Team Each week our b u l l e t i n l i s t s specific prayer needs that we are all invited to include in our prayers. These Intercesssory Prayer needs are also lifted up to God Almighty by the faithful members of our Prayer Team. This prayer team includes a prayer chain, which shares needs and answered prayers through s and texts created by Joan Chesak. Our Intercessory Prayers also meet each week to pray together. A few of the faithful prayer warriors who have been engaged on Thursday evenings, Sundays at worship and if needed, at the spur of the moment, include Steve and Cheryl Harvey, Joan Chesak, and Don Brash. Jesus instructed us to be consistent and never-ceasing in lifting our concerns to Him. Praise God for all who have been faithful in their efforts in lifting up the needs of fellow members and friends of the church and reaching out to others to join in the effort through phone calls, texts and s. Time and time again we hear from those who joyfully exclaim the Good News that God has indeed heard our prayers and brought answers to them. Flowers are $40. Churchwide Building Repair Meetings Our Board of Trustees has been looking into our urgent roofing problems and the water damage in our buildings. They are hosting three churchwide meetings to help us all understand what will be involved in repairing our facilities. These meetings are tentatively scheduled for: Sunday, November 9 at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, November 11 at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, November 16 at 11:45 a.m. All of the meetings will be held in the Luanne Willey Fellowship Hall. The content of each meeting will be the same: The Trustees will offer a short presentation and allow generous time for questions to be asked by those attending. We are trying to reach as many people as possible to make sure everyone understands the issues we are facing with our buildings and the Trustees recommendations on how to repair them. The goal of these meetings is to build a consensus to move forward with the necessary repairs. Due to the cost involved we will need to have a special Church Conference, which will be some time in December, after the conclusion of the three meetings. Please plan to attend one of the informational meetings listed above so that you can be fully informed and help us to move forward. Join us on Nov. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary for a special Thanksgiving Worship. This year we are doing something a bit different from the traditional Handicapable Thanksgiving Worship of past years. We are incorporating music, songs, a short message, and of course, the Handicapable will still have an important role as well! Everyone is invited to join us for this joyful worship. 4
