1 New District Guide Hawaii District
2 from the Office of the President and the General Supervisor a message from your New District Supervisor Wide open! This simple, yet profound statement taken from Revelation 3:8, expresses the theme of Connection, our 2009 Foursquare convention. It also reflects our anticipation of God s purposes for The Foursquare Church as we boldly follow Him into a new season of fruitful ministry worldwide. The familial relationship in The Foursquare Church and the bond of trust we share have brought us to an exciting place in our church s history. We are officially launching 14 new districts that are led by newly appointed supervisors who will lead our ministers and ministries into the Lord s harvest. As you read the information in this brochure relating to the launch of your new district, please do so with great care and intercession. Pray for your newly installed district supervisor and for the other district supervisors who will lead our ministers and ministries into the Lord s harvest. There is no finer hour to serve the Lord in the Foursquare family than today. As never before our collective commitment is to partner toward a common mission of reaching, resourcing and releasing leaders to God s full potential. As we set our hearts to mobilize the next generation and equip emerging leaders for the work of the ministry, we know you sense the passion of God to do everything possible so these leaders mature into effective and successful ministers of the Gospel. Aloha! Some months ago, the Lord spoke to my heart that a big wave was coming to our islands. It s not a flood that will be caused by inland waters, but a wave that is coming from the outside, the size of a huge tsunami. This wave is God s hand moving over our beautiful State of Hawaii. We will bear witness to churches growing and prospering as a testament that we are indeed people of His Kingdom, living in His economy. I am truly humbled by my recent appointment as district supervisor of the newly named. We are looking forward to providing care and service to our senior pastors, their spouses and their churches. We will move forward with fresh vision for our district, working together to build healthy churches. The office is located at 80 Pauahi St., Ste. 203, Hilo, HI Our home is your home, so we invite you to visit our staff and office. We will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Continuing to serve you as district administrator is Pauline Spencer. Our administrative assistant is Tiffanie Kotake. They are both very eager to serve you. The mission and heart of the is that others will see our good works and love one another; that we will encourage, lift up and exhort one another; that our relationship with God will come before our agenda; that there will be a priority in marriage and relationships; and that we will do our assignments with a spirit of excellence. But life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned to me by the Lord Jesus the work of telling others the Good News about God s mighty kindness and love (see Acts 20:24). Berna and I look forward to serving you as we continue to build a bond of Christian friendship. May our Lord Jesus Christ bless you in all ways! Grateful to serve, Our continued prayer is that the launch of your new district will bring about health and vitality to your region, your community and to your local assembly of believers. Praise God for His continued anointing on The Foursquare Church! Contact Information Supervisor Pastor Jack W. Hayford President The Foursquare Church exists to serve the body of Christ, to advance the gospel of Christ, and to cultivate members in Christ, and you are an integral part of this mission. Glenn C.
