Personally, I was able to travel to Moscow, Russia in June to volunteer at an international school and visit with the church there.

A personal note from Ashton Loyd They say time flies when you re having fun, but time also flies when you re traveling, vacationing, have 10 different events to attend in 2 months, preaching, teaching, ministering, getting on a plane, getting off a plane, making connections, or whatever else you in the AIM community have been doing with your summer. It s a busy time but its also been an impactful time for the Kingdom! Personally, I was able to travel to Moscow, Russia in June to volunteer at an international school and visit with the church there. It s overwhelming to see hundreds of apartment buildings, each with a population larger than the entire town I grew up in. There is still work to do, and I m so thankful that you are willing to be the boots on the ground doing it! If I could personally add the jewels to your future crowns, I would, but I ll leave that to God - He s better at the eternal reward thing. Next Steps 2018 has finished - the first time with two locations! Now we are gearing up for fall events like General Conference, Global ConNEXTions, and our first ever TESOL Certification Course. As always, many prayers and blessings headed your way from us here in the office. AIMers Katie Miller and Naomi Kovach, along with Cori Smith, were assisting in SL, and AIMers Raya McDonald and Brandi Young were assisting in TZ.

NS teams assisted in ministry and also unique missions experiences like teaching English and being a part of a Compassion Services International team providing medical clinics.

The Global Missions short term community is growing and its an exciting time to be a part of it! Sri Lanka Next Steps participants with supervising missionaries J Prince and Suzana Mathiasz and staff.

2 2 30 are taking the next right step in missions Summer 2018 was the first time in history to have two Next Steps Assignments in the same year! Thirty Next Steppers were in two regions - Tanzania, Africa and Sri Lanka, Asia. Missionaries Richard and Pamela Smoak and J. Prince and Suzana Mathiasz were the on-site country representatives. AIMers Katie Miller and Naomi Kovach, along with Cori Smith, were assisting in SL, and AIMers Raya McDonald and Brandi Young were assisting in TZ. Many were baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost during these months! NS teams assisted in ministry and also unique missions experiences like teaching English and being a part of a Compassion Services International team providing medical clinics. Teachers included Missionaries, AIMers, Regional Directors, on-site Global Missions staff, even an MK as young as 11 years old! The Global Missions short term community is growing and its an exciting time to be a part of it! Sri Lanka Next Steps participants with supervising missionaries J Prince and Suzana Mathiasz and staff. Tanzania Next Steps participants with supervising missionaries Richard and Pamela Smoak and staff. Madagascar crusade held in coliseum An estimated crowd of 13,000-14,000 people joined together in a coliseum for a crusade in Madagascar this summer. At the end of this crusade, there was much rejoicing as 1,167 were filled with the Holy Spirit! There were also several miraculous healings: lame walking, deaf recieving their healing, and other miracles! At the same time of this event, the Youth on Missions team from Florida was visiting, helping with the Kids day event and more. AIMers David and Ashley Cadd helped prepare for this team and for the events throughout May and June. After the crusade had ended, Missionaries Chris and Paula Richardson said they were exhausted in body but so very happy and thankful! Huge shout out to the Madagascar team who worked and organized the crusade. And special thanks to the Youth On Missions team who came from America and blessed us during this crusade!! We love you! Many were filled with the Holy Ghost and received miracles in Madagascar.

4 First ever EME Youth Congress a success This summer, the Europe Middle East Region hosted their first ever EME Youth Congress (EMEYC) in Kiev, Ukraine.

Attendees particpated in mulitcultural worhsip in the most widely used langugages across the EME, outreach and evangelism in the streets of Kiev, and prayer for the accessed challenged nations in

4 4 First ever EME Youth Congress a success This summer, the Europe Middle East Region hosted their first ever EME Youth Congress (EMEYC) in Kiev, Ukraine. This event lasted three days and was packed with power as the theme was Power to Be. Kendra Shock, Chris Green, and Dan MacLeod were some of the speakers for this event. God did miracles and a mighty work in Kiev! AYC season ending soon This year, global AYC groups traveled to Austria, Australia, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ghana, Bangladesh, El Salvador, Haiti, Scotland, Ukraine, Vanuatu, and Zambia! The summer mission trip season is coming to a close, and much work has gone into these international trips by many of you, the AIMers. Thank you for your efforts and another great year of being linked with AYC and the UPCI Youth Ministries team. Generational Gospel Missionaries Don and Sharon Ikerd met Brother Daka in Zambia when he was just a boy at 16. He did not know the truth then. He began serving the Lord, growing, and learning, in part to the efforts of the Ikerds. Years later, Sister Ikerd is now AIMing with her Missionary son and his family in Namibia. While attending a recent conference, she happened to see Brother Daka. Upon seeing him all that time later teaching in Global Associate of Theological Studies classes, she said, It was a very special blessing to me... and look what God has done in his life. I know he is the product of many wonderful missionaries. I am so glad Brother Ikerd and I had a small part in his life. The Scripture is true, they that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Then, I was his teacher and now he came to teach me. The Lord is so good. The Gospel we live and breathe is a generational Gospel that spans time AIMer Sharon Ikerd with Brother Daka. 5 Volcanic eruptions and earthquakes hit Guatemala On June 3rd, Guatemala experienced a massive volcanic eruption. Smaller eruptions continued to take place and then on June 17th, a 5.

More than 100 people have been reported dead, and over 3,000 people have been placed in shelters. Missionary Lynne Jewett said this eruption was very near the H.O.M.E.

5 5 Volcanic eruptions and earthquakes hit Guatemala On June 3rd, Guatemala experienced a massive volcanic eruption. Smaller eruptions continued to take place and then on June 17th, a 5.8 earthquake hit the same area of the country, causing more damage. This eruption is considered to be the most violent eruption in 100 years. More than 100 people have been reported dead, and over 3,000 people have been placed in shelters. Missionary Lynne Jewett said this eruption was very near the H.O.M.E. International orphanage property. Lots Iglesia Reforma group at H.O.M.E. When I visited New Zealand three years ago, one of the brothers pulled me aside and said to me (paraphrasing) When you come back you will have a choice between doing what God asked you to do or pursuing money. When we left the US to come here, I had two clients, with the potential for a third waiting in the wings. One of these clients owed me a considerable sum for services rendered, and until this point had always paid faithfully and on time. However, once we arrived in New Zealand each of these clients dropped me for various reasons, and the one that still owed a balance on their account would not pay and would not return my calls. The most surprising change in attitude was from my primary client. Although they were well aware of 1 our move and were happy to let me work from NZ, they suddenly decided to change their position once we 2 arrived. They even went so far as to say, Let us know when you get back to the US and we ll have work for 3 you again. Within a few days of landing in Auckland we went from being fully funded to zero funding. 4 Considering the coincidence of every client drying 5 up within days of our arrival, I felt strongly this was the decision I was told about. Dorothy and I prayed, then 6 decided not to worry about the money because we knew God would provide it. Several weeks went by 7 with no sign of consistent work. One morning I was of ash has covered the orphanage buildings and grounds. All the staff, AIMers and children are reported as safe, and now the focus shifts to cleaning up the dirt and ash left from the volcano. A local group of volunteers from neighboring Iglesia Reforma took time off to come help get the H.O.M.E. campus cleaned up. They took on the task of cleaning the off the roofs. Guatemala is not the only place experiencing difficulties due to natural disasters, and the people there are not the only missionaries, AIMers, and more expereincing the task of cleaning up and rebuilding. We pray for all those affected by situations like this! Volunteers sweeping ash off the roofs. Note from an AIM family on God s faithfulness praying about our finances and the Lord gave me great peace about the situation. Over the course of the next seven days I was paid by the client who owed me money, I picked up a new side project, and my primary client had a change of heart and hired me back full time. Now they are even allowing me to work west coast hours instead of east coast hours, so I don t need to get to work until 4 am which is still awful but better than 1 am. God is good, and we just wanted to testify about what He did. Take inventory of your abilities, health, resources and liabilities. You may need to let go of some friends, stuff, debt, habits, places you frequent. Pay attention to where you invest time. Where your time is spent is dictated by your desires. Grow in your relationship with God. Make a plan to be available and work on it! Make a commitment to be a part of the Great Commission.
