1 JANUARY & FEBRUARY JANUARY WEEKLY PRAYER FOCUS Week 1: January 3-9 Value 1 Transforming Lives Pray that all involved with Global Partners prayer partners, donors, church leaders, Resource Team staff and missionaries would be even more relentlessly motivated to partner with God to see hearts truly changed and lives transformed around the world. Pray that as we engage in the mission, the Spirit will continually transform our lives. Week 2: January Requests from Dr. Dennis Jackson, Executive Director of Global Partners Amplified Leaders. Pray that Global Partners can raise up 20 leaders to be launched to 20 cities by Pray also for strategic church partnerships for these key cities. Pray that I would lead out of an abounding love and be able to discern what is best in inspiring the Church to seize the mission. Week 3: January Pray for our missionaries to experience an overwhelming love and peace from God. Pray for the Holy Spirit to confirm God s call within their hearts. Pray that MKs would be comforted with God s unchanging love and presence as they encounter frequent changes and transitions. Week 4: January Mobilization Team Pray for God s guidance and direction as the mobilization team interviews new missionary candidates for possible approval and placement. Pray for applicants as they begin a journey of faith, seeking certainty of God s leading in their lives. Pray for clarity of vision for each mission field in terms of the missionary personnel needs they require. Pray for the Global Partners mobilization team to match missionary applicants to these needs. FEBRUARY WEEKLY PRAYER FOCUS Week 1: January 31-February 6 Value 2 Working Relationships Pray for Global Partners as we focus on relationships that deliver Kingdom results relationships that work. Pray as we continue to develop a circle of missional relationships. Week 2: February 7-13 Resource Team (Indianapolis-based Staff) Pray that the Resource Team would remain focused on Jesus and the Great Commission. Pray for the Holy Spirit to anoint them to do the work of God s kingdom. Pray for the Resource Team as they serve and resource our missionaries, the North American Wesleyan Church, and the international Wesleyan Church. Week 4: February Global Partners Health Network (GPHN) Pray for the growth of GPHN for growth in awareness about GPHN among the North American Wesleyan Church, for growth in membership, and for growth of GPHN s impact. Pray for God to provide the finances GPHN needs to continue to operate and grow. (For information on GPHN go to globalpartnersonline. org/partner/network-purposefully/global-partnershealth-network) Week 3: February Africa Area Pray that the African church would continue to grow in its vision and passion to take the gospel to new countries and peoples. Pray that they would develop new models and strategies to fulfill that mission. Pray that the African church would increasingly shoulder the responsibility of providing adequate financial support for its ministers, institutions, and ministries. 3

2 MARCH & APRIL MARCH WEEKLY PRAYER FOCUS Week 1: February 28-March 5 Value 3 Growing Teams Pray that Global Partners would continue to be committed to teams that are growing passionately inspiring individuals and collective development. Week 2: March 6-12 Asia Area Pray for the national leadership: continuing commitment, spiritual growth, good health, wisdom in making decisions, and the welfare of their families. Pray for the Global Partners missionaries serving in Asia. Pray for effectiveness of their ministries, for safety and security of the missionaries and their families, and for their continuing immersion in the local language and cultures. Pray for an expanded missionary force to reach the four billion people who live in Asia. Week 3: March Caribe Atlantic Area Pray for wisdom and divine direction for national church leaders. These leaders are faced with the challenges similar to their peers anywhere in the world, and they often face additional issues related to lack of resources, political instability, and difficult and sometimes dangerous travel conditions. This year four new missionary families will be deployed. Pray for their adjustment and effective ministry in their new fields of labor. Week 4: March Pray for our missionaries when they do partnership development. Pray for the Lord to supply their needed prayer partner team and financial support team. During their parents partnership development, pray for them as they cope with changes and loss; fitting into school, church, and their extended families; differences between home and the field; extensive traveling; and frequent separations from one or both parents. Week 5: March 27-April 2 Europe Area Pray for the current refugee crisis impacting all of Europe. Pray that this would be an opportunity to disciple Muslim immigrants. Pray for new missionaries currently preparing to join our missionary teams in Europe. Pray for God s provision spiritually and financially. APRIL WEEKLY PRAYER FOCUS Week 1: April 3-9 Value 4 Expanding Strategies Pray for Global Partners as we are intentional about developing strategies that expand the Church. Pray for us as we look for new and more effective ways to share the love and message of Jesus. Week 2: April Ibero-America Area Pray for the leaders of the Ibero-America area as they continue with plans to become an Established Regional Conference, working together to carry out God s mission of making disciples of all nations. Pray that God would give wisdom and insight to teams from Ibero-America as they seek God s leading to begin ministry in countries within the Turkic/Arabic Muslim area and beyond. Week 3: April Pacific Area Pray for workers in the harvest to receive the training they need and maturity in their walk with Jesus. Pray for the ministerial training schools and teachers in the Pacific area. Pray for Global Partners to have wisdom on the best way to structure leadership to support the ongoing growth and maturity of the Pacific church. Week 4: April Turkic/Arabic Muslim Area Pray for people who are sincerely seeking God to have dreams and visions of Jesus. Pray for God to protect the Turkic/Arabic Muslim area missionaries, as well as the local believers, from the attacks of the enemy. 4

3 MAY & JUNE MAY WEEKLY PRAYER FOCUS Week 1: May 1-7 Value 5 Advancing Church Pray for Global Churches to catch the vision to move into new areas of their communities, their regions, and other regions around the world. Pray that Global Partners would effectively communicate that the Church is God s chosen strategy to transform people and the world. Week 2: May 8-14 Requests from Dr. Dennis Jackson, Executive Director of Global Partners Amplified Mission Summit. On May 30-June 4, 2016, all of our Global Partners missionaries will gather at Houghton College for inspiration, equipping, mission alignment, and deep relationship. Pray for the Holy Spirit s anointing on these days together, leading up to General Conference. Amplified Laborers. Pray that we will double our missionary force, with a number of new missionaries coming from The Wesleyan Church outside of North America. Week 3: May Mobilization Team Pray for God to give cultural sensitivity and understanding to the mobilization team as they work to resource the international Wesleyan Church. Pray for those called to serve God cross-culturally. Many are facing obstacles that would threaten to hold them back from following God s leading. Pray the Global Partners mobilizers would be empowered to coach and resource potential missionaries to be faithful and fruitful servants in God s kingdom. Week 4: May Global Partners Health Network (GPHN) Pray for GPHN to be successful in helping to raise financial support for the Wesleyan medical ministries in Haiti, Zambia, Sierra Leone, and Myanmar. Pray for the Global Partners medical missionaries that serve in some of these countries. Pray for God to lead GPHN as they consider being involved in new areas. JUNE WEEKLY PRAYER FOCUS Week 1: May 29-June 4 Outcome 1 Missionaries Mobilized Pray for many future missionaries to hear and obey God s call to give their lives away for the global mission, just as Christ gave his life for the world. Week 2: June 5-11 Global Partners Muslim Ministries at Ramadan, including ministries in Egypt and among the Fotizo/ Karis/Koi/Nune people groups During the 30 days of Ramadan (June 6-July 5), many Muslims have a heightened awareness of spiritual matters. Pray that Muslims would have a full revelation of the only true God and his Son. Pray for the Holy Spirit to soften and enlighten their hearts. Pray for Muslims to see Jesus. Pray for our missionaries, other Christian workers, and national Jesus-followers as they reach out to their Muslim neighbors and communities with the love of Jesus during Ramadan. Week 3: June Africa Area Pray that students in African Bible colleges would be equipped academically, practically, and spiritually for the work of the ministry. Pray that God would help the leaders of the African church to balance the competing priorities for their time, attention, and energy. Pray that they would provide Spirit-filled leadership to the African church. Week 4: June JESUS Film Partnership of Global Partners Pray for the dedicated men and women who serve on our JESUS film teams around the world. Pray for their protection and effectiveness in the face of many challenges, obstacles, and dangers. Pray for the many new believers and new churches planted as a result of the JESUS film ministry. Pray for solid discipleship of new converts, and pray for pastoral placement in these new churches. Week 5: June 26-July 2 Asia Area Pray for the equipping and training of many of our leaders, especially those who are assigned as lay pastors. Pray that they would have a good understanding of the Scriptures. Pray for our young people their continuing commitment to Christ, their studies, their involvement in the church, and their future in the ministry. Pray that God would give them circle of friends that would continue to strengthen them in the family of God. 5

6 JULY & AUGUST JULY WEEKLY PRAYER FOCUS Week 1: July 3-9 Outcome 2: Partnerships Engaged Pray for God s guidance as Global Partners builds partnerships that are both relational with regular ongoing contact and strategic long-term investments with a clear aim in mind. Pray for local Wesleyan churches in North America to have exceptional clarity on their specific role in fulfilling the mission. Week 2: July Caribe Atlantic Area After a successful deployment of Haitian missionaries to Burkina Faso last year, pray for God s guidance as the national Wesleyan Churches of Haiti and Ghana continue to pursue possibilities of long-term deployment of Haitian missionaries. Pray for those leaders who feel a specific sense of calling to plant churches. Pray that their efforts would bear much fruit. Week 3: July Pray for God-created situations where the Holy Spirit leads our missionaries to those who are seeking and receptive. Pray that our missionaries would be sensitive to the Spirit s leading. Pray for God s perfect will to be known in the hearts of our MKs. Week 4: July Europe Area Pray that God would raise up local leaders to effectively disciple others and to plant new churches. Pray for new training initiatives taking place this year focused on developing disciples who make disciples. AUGUST WEEKLY PRAYER FOCUS Week 1: July 31-August 6 Outcome 3 Generosity Inspired Pray that Wesleyans, regardless of where they live, would joyfully leverage all of their resources for the sake of the mission. Week 2: August 7-13 Ibero-America Area Pray for Ibero-American leaders and pastors in their efforts to extend God s kingdom to all corners of their individual countries. Pray specifically for God s guidance in national church-planting movements to cities and unreached areas. Pray for the pastors and leaders who are teaching biblical stewardship. Pray that the message of God s call and believers responsibility would radically change people throughout the entire area to become a force for good. Week 3: August Pray for God to lead our missionaries with his unfailing love and faithfulness, making his way plain for them to follow (Psalm 5:8, 25:10). Pray for our MKs to be able to develop friendships with nationals and expatriates. Pray that God would help them seize the opportunities to learn and grow from their international experiences. Week 4: August Pacific Area All the Pacific fields have multiple tribal groups within the church. Pray for continued unity across tribal lines within the church. Pray that church leaders and pastors would have the gifts that correspond with appointments and elections. Pray for the Lord to bequeath spiritual authority to those he has placed in positions of leadership. Week 5: August 28-September 3 Turkic/Arabic Muslim Area Pray for a fresh outpouring of God s Spirit on the places where our missionaries minister. Pray for God s Word to be more easily accessible to Muslims who are seeking God. 8

7 SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER SEPTEMBER WEEKLY PRAYER FOCUS Week 1: September 4-10 Outcome 4 Followers Multiplied Pray that Wesleyan churches would partner with Global Partners to play a key role in more stories stories of personal transformation and stories of the transformed being gathered into newly planted church communities. Week 2: September Requests from Dr. Dennis Jackson, Executive Director of Global Partners Area Directors. Pray for our Area Directors and Assistant Area Directors as they give leadership to our missionaries and guidance to our national workers. Also pray for the multiplication of disciples and leaders in each of our fields. Many of our areas are bound by spiritual barriers of darkness, warfare, and religiosity. Pray for spiritual breakthroughs. Week 3: September Africa Area Pray that God would continue to open doors of opportunity to JESUS film teams across Africa. Pray that those who respond to the message of the film would be firmly discipled and gathered into fully functioning local churches. Pray that the medical ministries in Africa would minister to hearts and souls as well as to the physical needs of those who come to Wesleyan hospitals and clinics. Week 4: September 25-October 1 Asia Area Pray for our fields with difficult circumstances because of natural calamities that have struck their areas flooding, earthquakes, landslides, famine all affecting many of our members and churches. Pray that they would find means and alternatives to recoup their losses, to have an economic resource, to find other jobs, and to be able to have provision in their day-to-day lives. OCTOBER WEEKLY PRAYER FOCUS Week 1: October 2-8 Outcome 5 Leaders Developed Pray that as the gospel takes root in an area, Global Partners will be effective in turning over responsibility and authority to well-equipped national leaders. Week 2: October 9-15 Caribe Atlantic Area Pray for the Wesleyan churches in the Caribe Atlantic area that are in several stages of maturity, especially in the areas of ministerial training, stewardship, and administration. Pray for the compassionate ministries of the Caribe Atlantic area medical, community health, enterprise development, and the care of neglected and abandoned children. Pray for the mobilization team s efforts in developing fresh ways of communicating especially in their connections with students on various Wesleyan campuses. Week 4: October Europe Area Pray for our missionaries to effectively learn language and culture in order to do long-term relational disciple making. Pray that God would grant wisdom and grace to our area director, mission directors, and national pastors as they give leadership to The Wesleyan Church in Europe. Week 3: October Mobilization Team The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his field (Matthew 9:37-38 NIV). Pray that more laborers would respond to God s command to disciple all nations. Pray for a renewed sense of urgency to be realized in our Wesleyan churches. 9

8 NOVEMBER & DECEMBER NOVEMBER WEEKLY PRAYER FOCUS Week 1: October 30-November 5 Outcome 6 Churches⁵ Reproduced Stated, Churches to the fifth power reproduced. A CHURCH⁵ is not only grown up enough to be selfsupporting, but it is also parenting new works by sending missionaries. Pray for Global Partners as we seek to move each field to the fifth phase. Pray for Churches⁵ as they continue to be self-supporting and partner with new works by sending missionaries. Week 2: November 6-12 Ibero-America Area Pray for unity of mind and mission within the leaders and people of the Ibero-American area, so that they would recognize God s leading and the various gifts God has given them through his people to carry out his will. Pray for a greater understanding and love of God s Word throughout Ibero-America area. Pray that they would become a people of one book for all nations. Week 3: November Pray that our missionaries would reflect Jesus in all they do and say. Pray that they would model a life of dependence on God. Pray that God would surround our MKs with the shield of his love (Psalm 5:11-12). Week 4: November JESUS Film Partnership of Global Partners Pray for the JESUS Film Partnership as it partners with Global Partners in the new Amplified Leaders Initiative. The goal is to see 1,000 pastors trained and ordained by Week 5: November 27-December 3 Resource Team (Indianapolis-based Staff) Pray for the Resource Team to model a life of dependence on God and to reflect Jesus in all they do and say. Pray for God to give the Resource Team wisdom, guidance, and knowledge as they mobilize, train, and equip the laborers that He has called to work in his harvest fields. DECEMBER WEEKLY PRAYER FOCUS Week 1: December 4-10 Outcome 7 Nations Transformed Global Partners believes that the gospel of Jesus Christ has the power to transform lives, families, communities, and entire nations. Pray that as Global Partners acts upon this belief, God would use all of us working together to see nations made new. Week 2: December During this Christmas season, pray that each of our missionaries and MKs would personally experience Jesus as Immanuel God with us. Pray for them to experience the joy of the Lord deep in their hearts and be able to praise God saying, Glory to God in the highest heaven. Pray for our missionaries and our MKs who are separated from families and friends during the holidays. The Church does not grow on the basis of tradition and routine. Pray for new vision and spiritual insight that would be an impetus for salvation growth to new generations of lost souls. Week 4: December Turkic/Arabic Muslim Area Pray for Muslims to understand and accept Jesus and to be a beacon of light to their families and friends. Pray that the believers who do exist in the Turkic/Arabic Muslim world would be united in one Spirit and work together for the advancement of God s kingdom. Week 3: December Pacific Area Many pastors are in very remote and hostile places of service. Pray for grace, strength, patience, and safety for these faithful servants of God. 10
