FOR YOUR INSPIRATION FROM THE PASTOR: Wealth, Success or Love "A woman came out of her house and saw three old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said, "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat." "Is your husband home?" They asked. "No," She said. "He's out." "Then we cannot come in," they replied. In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what has happened. "Go tell them I am home, and invite them in!" The woman went out and invited the men in. "We do not go into a House together," they replied. "Why is that?" She wanted to know. One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love." Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home." The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!", He said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come in and fill our home with wealth!" His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?" Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!" "Let us heed our daughter-in-law's advice," said the husband to his wife. "Go out and invite Love to be our guest." The woman went out and asked the three old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest." Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other two also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?" The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!" Dear reader, who are you inviting in your home tonight? Is it Success? We all do want that. Is it Wealth? Certainly, financial independence is something we all would like to attain. Or is it love? During the hippie years a most popular song was "What the world needs now is love sweet love. It s the only thing that s there s just to little of." How true. If we focus on Success or Wealth alone, the chances of experiencing or developing a passion to share and love others will be very, very small. In fact wealth and success without love is self-centeredness.

However it is not about romantic love must human and spiritual love. Welcome to everyone. It s a joy being here to worship on this beautiful Sabbath day. Things I do not want you to forget." Today our theme text is No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. John 4:12, New Living Translation How can we share the gospel of Christ without loving actions? How can we be humans without showing loving actions? How can people see God in us without loving actions among ourselves. Today I will share and demonstrate this theme is my presentaiton. I will share the naked truth about love. Have you ever wonder why the Greek symbol of love is an angle piering a heart with an arrow-cupid. I always though it was so cold and violent. How could that be love I always thought to myself? Why couldn t the symbold of love be a kiss, handshake, or even a loaf of bread. Today, I hope we remove the arrows and extend a warm arm of love and a soft voice of compassion. Let is make the gospel attractive through loving actions

I will be your pastor under 11:59 p.m. on February 27. March 5, Pastor Mark Ewen, the new pastor. DEATH: Pastor Winston Donavan Edwards, the brother-in-law of Barrington Brennen, our pastor, died on Sunday, February 7, 2016, at 11:55 p.m. in the hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was 67. He died from a massive hemorrhagic stroke. He was ill for several years and suffered from Myasthenia gravis, a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease characterized by varying degrees of weakness of the skeletal (voluntary) muscles of the body. The memorial service will be on Sunday, February 28, 2016, at the Sharon Seventh-day Adventist Church, Charlotte, North Carolina. Pastor Edwards was born in The Bahamas, lived in Jamaica and the United States with his wife and three sons. This death has altered the plans of Pastor Barrington. He will cease pastoring when he leaves the pulpit preaching on Sabbath, February 27 th He will head straight to the airport to catch a flight to Carolina. STEWARDSHIP SABBATH FEBRUARY 20TH: Join us Sabbath February 20 th for Giving it All Stewardship Sabbath. The guest speaker will be Anthony Burrows, the Stewardship Director of the South Bahamas Conference. He will preach at both services and conduct a hands-on workshop in the afternoon during the Adventist Youth time. Plan to be there. WOMEN S MINISTRIES Thank You to all who supported SBC WOMEN S MINISTRIES CONSECRATION SERVICE that was held last night at Centerville Church. Your prayers and continued supported are greatly appreciated. PRAYER REQUEST for some of our ladies who will be travelling to Camp Kalaqua from February We pray for their safe return. FOCUS ON EDUCATION To every student I would say, Never rest satisfied with a low standard. In attending school, be sure that you have in view a noble, holy object. Go because you desire to fit yourselves for service in some part of the Lord's vineyard. Do all that you can to attain this object. You can do more for yourselves than anyone can do for you. And if you do all that you can for yourselves, what a burden you will lift from the principal and teachers! Before attempting to study the higher branches of literary knowledge, be sure that you thoroughly understand the simple rules of English grammar and have learned to read and write and spell correctly. Climb the lower rounds of the ladder before reaching for the higher rounds. Do not spend time in learning that which will be of little use to you in your afterlife. Instead of reaching out for a knowledge of the classics, learn first to speak the English language correctly. Learn how to keep accounts. Gain a knowledge of those lines of study that will help you to be useful wherever you are. COUNSELS to Parents, Teaches and Students Pages 162 & 163. CONDOLENCES TO: Genetta Ferguson on the loss of her sister Rebecca Beulah Rolle. Funeral service will be held on Sunday morning at 10 am Hillview SDA Church. Delvera Wallace on the loss of her sister. Funeral service was held last Saturday. Remember to keep these families in prayer.
