Our school is a friendly, lively, welcoming place, where students of all denominabons and walks of life are impacted daily by the instrucbon and example of ChrisBan teachers. Every day, in every class and extra-curricular acbvity, our students learn that our world belongs to God and that they have a role in shaping it for Christ. Children s Ministry Sunday School classes are divided as follows: Age 3-5 (SK); Gr 1-3; and Gr 4-6. Sunday School children will be invited to their classes following the children s message. Colossians 4:2 (NIV) Family of the week: Maaike & Marianne Langenberg Local church of the week: Fruitland CRC, Pastor Ken deboer (interim) - Harm Veldman was admioed to hospital again on Wednesday. There are various areas of physical weakness that are being addressed by the doctors. Spiritually Harm and the family trust in God s care for him every day. - Bob Schotanus had a serious case of influenza and was sbll in Hospital on Wednesday but he was feeling much beoer. We pray he can return home soon. - ChrisBne Burghgraef s father Frans died this past Thursday at Shalom Manor. He was 93. We seek God s comfort in this Bme of sadness for ChrisBne and her family and for her brother Robert and his family. PANCAKE SUPPER It's almost here!! Yes our annual pancake supper this coming Tuesday evening. What does this mean? This means that if you join us you won't have to cook or wash dishes and you are able to enjoy fellowship and tasty pancakes and sausages we serve every year. Bring your families and friends! Time: 5-7 p.m. Adult serving: 3 pancakes, 3 sausages, $7.00. Child's serving: 2 pancakes, 2 sausages, $4.00. Through this we can support the Easter pancake breakfast for Open Arms, Rose City Kids, Hope House and Coffee Break. Your support is much appreciated! -4-

SENIOR S GROUP On February 14th (ValenBne's Day) we will meet at Grace CRC and go for a drive in the country. We will have lunch in Grimsby at Lekker Café (the Dutch shop). 8 Announcements Q&A FROM PASTOR MIKE Q: What is the church history of our Tuesday Feb 13 Pancake supper? A: The season of Lent in the ChrisBan tradibon has 40 days of fasbng in solemn remembrance of Jesus passion, suffering and death. The 40 days of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday (Feb 14 this year). The day before, Tuesday, people would have a big pancake dinner to finish various perishable food items like eggs, and milk that could not be eaten during Lent. This developed into a tradibon that sbll exists today. ELISHA HOUSE FUNDRAISER TRIVIA NIGHT On Wednesday, February 14 (7 pm start) Providence Community Church is hosbng a Trivia Night to raise funds for Elisha House Pregnancy and Family Support Centre. All are welcome to join us for a night of fellowship as you test your knowledge on a wide variety of topics, while enjoying coffee, tea, desserts, snacks and prizes! SeaLng is limited, so reservalons are required. There will be a free will offering taken that evening to raise funds for Elisha House. This event is being held at Beacon ChrisBan School in St. Catharines. Come out and enjoy a fun evening of euchre, food and fun. Cost is $20 per person.
