Yea, we are drawn to the pageantry of Palm Sunday, and to the Christ, who enters lives with grace and truth that can uplift and heal. Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord. Peggy Pellett *Prayer of Confession Marie Prosser O Lord, our God, you alone know the full extent of the sin that has corrupted our lives: prejudice that divides us unnecessarily, animosities that we nurture and offer to others you have already forgiven, scorn toward those with whom we disagree and who just might be right, faithfulness conquered by fear that leaves us timid in the face of truth, deceit that confuses loved ones who try to understand us and know us, envy that robs us of the joy of beholding the blessings of others, unwillingness to translate our belief into actions that make life better. O Lord, we do believe. We seek to follow Jesus. We know compassion works wonders. But still, at times, we fail and others suffer. Forgive us Lord! Renew our spirits and set us right. Help us to say, I m so sorry! where we need to so speak. Help us to forgive each other, as you have forgiven us. These are expressions of a truth which remains beyond the reach of all theory in the depths of God s love for humankind. Deadline is March 26. Mayfest: The Mayfest storage containers are available for donations of furniture and other yard sale items in the upper parking lot next to the playground. The containers will be open Mon-Thurs 9am-3pm and Sat 9:30-11am. For after-hour drop-off, the container keys will be located outside the administrative office. If you need furniture picked up, please call the church office we will be picking up on Saturday, April 7. Mayfest Kickoff Event: This year Mayfest for Missions will start with a combined Golf Tournament, Raffle, Silent Auction, and Live Auction at Ironwood Country Club on Friday, April 13. The event features live music by the Speculations, two members of which are church members, Paul Shackelford and Keith Nelson. See Jessica Davenport or Suzanne Morrow for tickets. Golf tournament entry forms are in the Welcome Center. Mission Statement Gatherings: All are encouraged to join us on Sunday, April 22 and Sunday, May 20 after worship to work on our mission statement. Lunch will be provided in the Fellowship Hall while we work! Ulster Project: The Ulster Project of Greenville is looking for teens ages 14-16, to host a teen from Londonderry/Derry Northern Ireland from June 28-July 26.
