The scholarship was established to support catholic education for active members of The Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit. 2 Application Rules of Eligibility 1. The number of scholarships awarded and their value is determined by funds made available through Knights of Columbus charitable contributions. 2. Application is open to any registered member of The Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit Parish in grades K through A completed application must include the following: Completed and signed application forms. A letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, priest or principal. A 250 word or less essay explaining Why Catholic Education is important to you. Please attach on a separate sheet of paper. A copy of current school transcript. 4. The Scholarship Committee must receive proof of attendance, or an official copy of acceptance to the Catholic school or transcript named in the application. 5. Deadline for filing the application and all supporting documentation is May 28, All materials submitted are not returnable. 6. The decision of the Knights of Columbus Scholarship Committee will be final. 7. Any scholarship applicant or recipient is encouraged to reapply the following year. 8. All scholarship recipients are required to attend Mass at The Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit in Mullica Hill to recognize their award on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 10:30 am.
