Don Braukmann Scholarship The Roman Catholic Parishes of Blessed Sacrament, Greenbush; St. Edward the Confessor, Karlstad; and St. Joseph Husband of Mary, Middle River are offering one scholarship in the amount of $300 at the end of this school year. In order to qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements: 1: Be an active registered member of one of the three parishes. (Blessed Sacrament in Greenbush, St. Edward s in Karlstad, St. Joseph s in Middle River) 2: Successfully complete the requirements for graduation from high school. 3: Graduate from High School in the spring of : Have plans to attend a university, college or technical school in the fall of We are looking for applicants who exhibit the following qualities: 1: Weekly attending Sunday Mass and actively involved in the life of their parish. 2: Actively live their Catholic faith and demonstrate their faith/morals/commitment to Christ and His Church 3: Service to the parish and the greater community 4: Demonstrated leadership qualities 5: Demonstrated academic effort As part of the application process applicants are asked to submit two letters of recommendation. One letter of recommendation must be from your parish pastor, former pastor, parish Director of Religious Education, or former Confirmation teacher. The other letter of recommendation can be from a teacher, school counselor, coach or community leader. We will not accept letters of recommendation from parents. Our Scholarship Review Committee will evaluate all applications. The Scholarship will be awarded prior to graduation, spring
