I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10, NIV). July 1 GERMANY Pray for the expansion of Derek s teaching into German-speaking nations (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), and for an increase in its use and impact. Pray for provision of funding for book production and distribution and to help with DPM s other worldwide outreaches. July 2 INDIA While doors have opened to DPM s ministry in eastern India, the western part of the nation has been closed. Pray for a breakthrough so that the Body of Christ there can be equipped with Derek s material. July 3 BULGARIA In May, government elections were held. The result could potentially lead to an unstable situation which could destroy what has been built up in this nation. The Church in Bulgaria has prayed fervently that this would not happen. Pray that the winning party can form a government by itself without the help of a coalition. The only other alternative is a Communist government. July 4 GEORGIA Pray for the work in Georgia as new translations and printing begin there. July 5 UGANDA Pray for the successful printing and distribution of the Luganda translation of Appointment in Jerusalem and that many will be inspired and changed by Lydia Prince s story. July 6 SOUTH AFRICA Pray for ongoing changes to the website to make it more user friendly and that many more people will use it to download free material, shop and give online. Pray for an increase in donors, prayer supporters and sales so that more pastors, lay leaders, and churches can be reached with Derek s Bible teaching. Pray for good health, strength, wisdom, protection and provision for the staff and board members. July 7 PAKISTAN James, the DPM Director for Pakistan, plans to visit Lahore to promote Derek s Urdu books to churches and shops. Pray for an expansion of DPM s ministry in the Punjab province. Youth leaders and lay leaders will be receiving Derek s book Life-Changing Spiritual Power. Pray for the five DPM area coordinators in Pakistan who will be responsible for this distribution and that the messages in this book (a compilation of titles) will impact thousands of believers. July 8 SOLOMON ISLANDS Pray that listeners to Derek s daily radio broadcasts will be encouraged and built up in their faith. Pray that non-christians would also tune in to these programs and come to know Jesus as Savior. July 9 AUSTRALIA A DPM conference will be held in Sydney on August 17. Pray for wisdom in the final planning, a good attendance and that these meetings will accomplish God s purposes to further equip the Body of Christ. July 10 NEPAL Derek s books are being translated into the Tamang language. The first translation underway is the Self- Study Bible Course. Pray for God s anointing and protection upon the translator. 2 July 11 SWITZERLAND Pray for favor with evangelical book shops and churches that will enable the Swiss team to distribute Derek s material through these channels. July 12 HUNGARY Pray for protection and good health for the translators as they work on two book projects: Life-Changing Spiritual Power and Judging. Pray for successful release of both books by the end of October. July 13 CANADA Pray for doors to open in the prison system so that Derek s teaching can be distributed. Pray for a great move of the Holy Spirit throughout the nation of Canada. July 14 FRANCE Pray for the board, who will meet on July 22, to have safe travel and wisdom from the Lord regarding future plans for outreach. Pray for the successful translation of several video messages so they can be released soon. July 15 SLOVAKIA Pray for God s wisdom and anointing upon all workers involved in the translating and proofing of the book, Life-Changing Spiritual Power. Pray for successful updates to the website graphics and content. Pray for guidance, protection and provision for all the co-workers and their families. July 16 CHINA The printers serving DPM continue to face extra surveillance and are, therefore, currently shipping material in smaller volumes. It is still not clear what the attitude of the new leadership in China will be toward Christians. Pray for protection for the DPM printers. Pray that the Lord will overrule in the hearts and minds of the Chinese authorities. July 17 CZECH REPUBLIC Translators and proofreaders are working to finish the translation of the book Life-Changing Spiritual Power. Pray for the final stages and that it will make a great impact upon its readers across the nation. JULY 18 SOUTH AFRICA Pray for the listeners to Derek s radio broadcasts to experience growth and victory as they apply God s Word in their lives. Pray for more open doors to broadcast Derek s program on radio stations in Africa. July 19 CUBA Pray for continued provision for the work in Cuba printing and distributing Derek s material, teaching seminars and conferences across the island, and office operations. Pray for the Lord s provision for a suitable location for a new office facility and church meetings. July 20 UNITED KINGDOM Pray for wisdom and direction from the Lord for the trustees meeting on July 29, which will directly affect the outreach of this office that extends throughout the U.K. and across the Middle East. July 21 TURKEY Pray for the right person to come forth to dub Derek's teaching into the Turkish and Kurdish (Kurmanji) languages. Pray for the Lord s anointing on the one who will dub the Laying the Foundation teaching series. July 22 CROATIA Pray for God s anointing and protection for Tamara as she translates the book, God s Remedy for Rejection, and for Slavica as she translates God s Word Heals. Page 2

3 July 23 ARMENIA Pray for growth of DPM in Armenia as a new website is constructed and new material is printed. July 24 SERBIA The Serbian translation of Life-Changing Spiritual Power is underway. Pray for God s grace, wisdom and strength for the translator who has a full-time job as well. Pray that through the new book, The Power of Proclamation, Serbian believers will learn how to proclaim the Word of God on behalf of their own lives, families and situations, and the country. Pray for wisdom and inspiration as to how to best distribute Derek s materials in local churches. July 25 NETHERLANDS Pray for new communication strategies and contacts with local churches, donors and potential supporters of DPM s ministry, so that giving to DPM outreaches worldwide can also increase. Pray for the new Internet courses being developed on Thanksgiving, Praise & Worship, The Holy Spirit, and a greatly needed course for younger folks on the theme God Is a Matchmaker. July 26 IRAN Pray for the Lord s protection and encouragement for DPM s contacts in the home churches. Pray for contacts and friends who are being persecuted, including several who were recently imprisoned. One is a pastor who is married with children and was involved in producing and distributing Derek s teaching. July 27 ISRAEL Tension is rising in Israel as the wounded are treated in their hospitals. As of May 27, 94,000 civilians have been killed in Syria, tens of thousands more have been injured or disfigured, and 2.5 million refugees, including 600,000 children, are scattered across the region. Pray for God s peace over Jerusalem and the nation. And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication (Zechariah12:10). July 28 BRAZIL The demand for Derek s Portuguese material continues to grow. Pray for the publishers in Brazil to be able to keep up with the printing and distribution and for all the funds needed. Pray for the U.S. office leadership to move ahead in wisdom and discernment regarding the growing work in Brazil and the potential for establishing an office there. July 29 CHINA A new printer has started working with the China team. Pray that he will be able to produce good quality materials and be kept safe as he serves in this way. Other new avenues of printing are being sought to serve even more of China s believers. A large church network wants many copies of Derek s materials and might also begin to do printing themselves. Pray regarding this possibility. July 30 NORWAY Pray for DPM Norway s board of directors to have God s wisdom in overseeing this office now and in the coming years. Derek s books will be distributed at summer conferences in Norway. Pray for new contacts to be made and for a good response to the material. Pray for the Lord s blessing and guidance for the youth work started by the Norway team. July 31 UGANDA Pray for the printing and distribution of thousands of copies of Life-Changing Spiritual Power in Uganda. Page 3

4 DEREK PRINCE MINISTRIES Worldwide Prayer Focus August 2013 Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know (Jeremiah 33:3, NKJ). August 1 GERMANY Pray for new contacts to come forth to present Bible teaching conferences across Germany and introduce Derek s teaching to those not yet familiar with it. August 2 PERU/BOLIVIA Continue to pray for God s guidance in reaching out to the Quechua people. Pray that the Lord would bring forth the right person to translate Derek s radio messages and voice them in the Quechuan language. August 3 BULGARIA The book Set Apart for God will be printed in August. Pray that the truths taught in the book will be taken seriously by God s people in Bulgaria and that they will apply them in their lives. August 4 SOUTH AFRICA In August, a group of young leaders from northern Africa will attend discipleship training in Pretoria, followed by outreach to Moslem and Indian communities in South Africa. Pray they will be enriched and strengthened and go home with hearts burning to share the gospel. They will take with them CDs and DVDs of Derek s Arabic material and some French material, along with DPM contacts and website information for further free resources. The annual Mission Fest will be held in Pretoria on September 6 7, in which DPM will take part. Pray for successful sales and distribution of material and for fruitful contacts to be made. August 5 INDONESIA Pray for Indonesian book sales to increase and that many more shops will begin to sell them. August 6 NETHERLANDS The Dutch team is planning for the next season of ministry. Pray for wisdom and for divine appointments with leaders, churches, and others who desire to network together to distribute and use Derek s teaching material. Pray for these and other relationships to develop and strengthen to promote and support DPM outreaches. August 7 AUSTRALIA Pray for good health, wisdom in final planning, and protection for the speakers, staff and volunteers taking part in the conference scheduled for August 17. August 8 Zimbabwe Pray for more contacts and supporters for the work of DPM in Zimbabwe. Tich, the new director, will take part in a conference on Israel on August with a DPM book table. Pray for good contacts and sales at this event. August 9 INDIA Hundreds of village missionaries and others were given copies of Life-Changing Spiritual Power (a sixbook compilation) at a meeting of around 20,000 young people in Madurai. Pray that this material will bring a greater understanding of God s Word and that those who receive it will use the teaching to reach many others to build up the Body of Christ. August 10 BURMA Ten titles are being reprinted in Burmese due to the large demand for teaching. Pray for this process to go Page 4

5 smoothly and for excellent sales of these books so that they can touch and bless many lives. August 11 SOUTHERN AFRICA Pray for the translators, proof readers, editors, printers and those doing desktop publishing. They are often faced with a lot of opposition in their families while working on DPM projects. Pray for all the projects in progress, including the success of the prayer and proclamation card on spiritual warfare that will be printed and distributed. Pray for lives to be changed as they read the Afrikaans translation of Appointment in Jerusalem. August 12 CUBA Pray for protection, guidance and good health for all of the staff members and their families. Pray that the team can reach more Cuban people with Derek s teaching so they may be encouraged and equipped to walk out their life of faith with Jesus. August 13 CANADA Pray for the Board of Directors as they seek God s will for the future of DPM in Canada. Pray for a greater heart for missions among the faithful supporters in Canada. August 14 SWITZERLAND Pray for continued provision for printing Derek s books, including German books for the Germanspeaking part of Switzerland. Pray for Ruedi, Elizabeth and their board to walk in the Lord s wisdom and favor in their efforts to increase distribution of Derek s teaching across Switzerland. August 15 MADAGASCAR Pray for provision and direction for Dries and Valerie du Plessis in Mahajanga as they continue to faithfully print and distribute books even at their own expense. August 16 HUNGARY Pray for a fresh move of God in Hungary so that believers will be filled with His love and the Holy Spirit, walk in obedience to the Word of God and be led by the Spirit. Pray for freedom from religion and legalism. August 17 LATIN AMERICA Pray for those involved in the production of the new 15-minute Spanish radio program. Pray that more and more people will find the Spanish website and access Derek s Spanish teaching material. August 18 ROMANIA Pray for the conference scheduled for November to have a great impact and bring a strong, biblical foundation into the lives of those who attend. Pray for the Lord s presence to be manifest and the Holy Spirit to move powerfully. August 19 ISRAEL Many doors are opening to DPM s ministry in Israel, and the workers there report that it is difficult to keep up due to the demand for English and Hebrew books! According to Zechariah 12:10, if the Spirit of the Lord is poured out, it will make the work here even more effective! August 20 CROATIA Pray for God s wisdom in the decision-making, planning and strategizing needed for various projects in coming months. Pray for new doors to open into local churches and for open hearts in Croatian church leaders to receive Derek s materials. August 21 AZERBAIJAN Pray for the right contacts for DPM s work in this nation. Skilled and reliable people are needed to translate Derek s materials into the Azerbaijani language. Page 5

6 August 22 POLAND Pray for strength and good health for Marek and Agnieszka and for wisdom in their time management and prioritizing of tasks, especially for Agniezska who does translation work in addition to DPM ministry. Pray for development of the distribution network for Derek s materials among believers in Poland. August 23 NETHERLANDS Pray for wisdom for Marly and new team member Jiska, who are working many hours on enhancing the new website with many more free articles, and also setting up the tools needed for online purchasing of Derek s teaching through the web store. August 24 INDONESIA Pray for good health, strength and God s protection for Director Yoegi, Outreach Director, Peter, and three young staff members as they reach out to this Muslim nation with Derek s teaching. Pray that many more people will visit the website ( and access the resources available. August 25 UNITED STATES Pray for increasing new contacts through Facebook, Twitter, and the new DPM app so that many more can be reached with Derek s teaching material, especially those of the younger generation who really desire to be grounded in solid Bible teaching. August 26 PERSIAN GULF REGION Pray for new outreach opportunities and contacts in countries like Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Pray also for a breakthrough in the development of our proposed comprehensive multi-language website that can reach the 16 Arab-speaking countries in this region. August 27 FRANCE A trip to Israel is planned for late October in collaboration with a graduate of the Bible Correspondence Course (BCC), who is now a travel agent in Israel. Pray for God s guidance in this venture. René will not be going, but Catherine will be in charge. Pray for a deepening impact of Derek s teachings on the Church in France and new contacts. Continue to pray for new students to enroll in the BCC and students who stopped to continue the course and complete it. August 28 CHINA The Life-Changing Spiritual Power book project is a new venture in collaboration with DPM Asia/Pacific to reach Chinese people outside China who are sometimes more open to the Gospel. For example, there are over 70 Chinese churches in Auckland, New Zealand. Pray for many Chinese people in countries worldwide to be reached with Derek s teaching. August 29 IRAQ The Lord has opened the door to work alongside a newly proposed Christian college in northern Iraq. Pray for this opportunity as it will be a groundbreaking work which will also touch northern Arabia (including Syria, Jordan and Lebanon). August 30 UNITED ARAB EMIRATES A Christian event planning organization in this nation is working to arrange an interdenominational meeting with DPM in Dubai in late September. Pray for its fulfillment according to God s plan. August 31 SERBIA Due to the economic crisis, books are a bit of a luxury, so sales are a little stagnant at the moment. Pray that this will begin to turn around. Pray that Miroslav F. and Miroslav C. will walk in God s wisdom and anointing to be able to inspire and motivate the younger Christian generation to read Bible-teaching books. Pray for a fresh outpouring of God s Holy Spirit on the Body of Christ in this nation and for church leaders to have open hearts for Derek s teaching. Page 6

7 DEREK PRINCE MINISTRIES Praise and Thanksgiving July/August 2013 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him (1 John 5:14 15). Angola Isabel Surgeon We now have a contact for Angola, a pastor who is in touch with many pastors and Bible schools in Angola. We will be sending Bible College Library Packs (Portuguese books, DVDs, etc.) to Angola for graduates there. China Ross Paterson Praise God for new projects now in process: the production of the book, Life-Changing Spiritual Power (a combination of six of Derek s books), the printing of a new translation, The Promise of Provision, and the printing of a newly formatted version of Set Apart for God. Despite extra surveillance of our printers, DVD/CD production inside China has continued on as normal. Croatia Praise God for the testimonies of believers who are being blessed by Derek s teaching. One of them is Dijana. She was searching for truth and meaning in life, trying to quench the thirst of her soul. After reading many books from different Christian authors, she came across the book Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose! and was greatly blessed. Cuba Adalberto We are grateful for God s mercy to be able to continue working and for the acceptance and impact of Derek's teachings in Cuba. Every time I translate or prepare an already translated book to be printed, it ministers to my life and teaches me. Czech Republic We praise God for new IT equipment donated by DPM USA. In the same week Brano brought us the new equipment, the old equipment broke down. God provided for us before this happened. We are thankful for the generosity of all donors. May the Lord reward them abundantly. Eastern Europe from Ivar van der Sterre, Netherlands office This past year, along with publishing, Brano has been working hard to coordinate the buying and installing of new computers for most of the DPM offices in Eastern Europe. Here s a beautiful picture of how the heavenly Father provides just in time! In the Czech Republic, as mentioned above, the new computer was installed by Brano and, one week later, the old machine totally crashed! In Romania, the old equipment crashed and the money for replacing it was immediately wired from the special gift from the U.S. that came in for this purpose (for new equipment in the EE offices). Eritrea Neil Cornick The book, Faith to Live By, has been translated into Tigrinya in the Sudan. Pastor David Mehari in Pretoria, who has an Eritrean church, will proofread it. A doctor in Pastor David s church has translated the booklet, At the End of Time (part of Derek s foundational teaching). France René de Groot We praise the Lord for His blessing and faithfulness in sales, donations, etc. as we continue to distribute Derek s teaching to the French-speaking world. Time and again, we receive s, letters and phone calls from people who are so grateful for Derek s solid, balanced teaching in a time where so many unbalanced teachings are doing a lot of damage. We thank the Lord for all the wonderful people working with DPM and the privilege to be a part of this Page 7

8 family. Even now, 10 years after Derek went to be with the Lord, DPM hasn t stopped growing. Surely, that is a miracle and a stamp of approval from the Lord! Hungary The Lord answered our prayers for good, qualified translators for the Life-Changing Spiritual Power book project. Finding a good translator is very difficult here in Hungary. It s a very well paid job and most of the people who are gifted in this area work for secular companies. The Lord was faithful and provided three new people! God enabled us to publish The Power of Proclamation. Translation and desktop publishing were finished within an extremely short time and it was released in March. We thank God for His providence and for the generosity of DPM Canada who provided for this project. India Elsie Daniel Good progress has been made in the translation work in Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam, after new translators were added over the last couple of months. In April, we held three days of ministry in the Himalayan Mountains. More than 40 leaders/pastors from 30 different churches attended the seminar in the capital city of Gangtok. We taught on Spiritual Warfare, The Power of Proclamation and The Divine Exchange. Everyone was greatly blessed and we have been asked to return in October to give the same teaching in West Bengal for 40 churches and then in Bhutan. We thank God for more open doors in India. During March we taught and ministered in several cities: o Orissa: We taught and ministered on The Divine Exchange to over 100 people. I (Elsie) taught on Entering the Presence of God (through worship) to over 1,000 people. We now have contact with two senior leaders in Orissa and the door is open to minister to 15 pastors in the Kandhamal District (where anti-christian riots took place in 2008) and equip them with Derek s material. o Andhra Pradesh: We spoke at a pastors meeting on From Curse to Blessing. Many pastors admitted they themselves needed deliverance from curses before they could minister to others. We distributed Life-Changing Spiritual Power (LCSP) in Telugu to 100 pastors. o Andhra Pradesh: We spoke and ministered on The Divine Exchange to 40 pastors. Life-Changing Spiritual Power in Telugu was distributed. We will now train four pastors in the Derek Prince Bible College curriculum so they can take it across Andhra Pradesh into the rural areas and train other groups of pastors. o Tamil Nadu: Another pastors meeting (from various denominations) was held, where we taught on Curse to Blessing. We distributed LCSP and planned a future two-day seminar for pastors and wives. This was one of the toughest groups to reach as they are educated and love to argue, but their hearts have been opened to the truth. Indonesia Thousands of Derek s CDs are being sent to pastors networks in many parts of Indonesia for widespread duplication! Kuwait Neil Cornick A church in Kuwait has decided to support our ministry and is interested in working alongside us to reach the wider Christian community there. They worship with a Chinese Church in the same facility. Malawi Isabel Surgeon The Chichewa Self-Study Bible Course has been re-edited and will be reprinted and used for prison outreach. A supporter has donated funds to print the Spiritual Warfare declaration card in five African languages and Portuguese. Nepal Gopaljee Adhikari We are delighted that Derek s books are now beginning to be translated into the Tamang language, beginning with the Self-Study Bible Course. Pakistan James and Elizabeth In April, we held a Christian Family Life Seminar in the largest slum in Asia, which is in Karachi s Korangi Township. This took place after we were asked by four pastors to hold a seminar following four teenage Page 8

9 suicides, mostly due to family problems. About 500 people attended and all received Derek s teaching on The Marriage Covenant, Husbands and Fathers and God Is a Matchmaker. We praise God that about 18 teenagers accepted Jesus, and we saw the Holy Spirit move powerfully in the meeting. Netherlands Ivar van der Sterre We thank the Lord for the newly released book, The Promise of Provision, especially in the middle of an economic struggle that has held our nation in its grip for almost four years now. We praise God for ever-increasing interest for the Daily Devotional mailing that has gone out since January 2012 and is well read by over 1300 recipients. We have two wonderful, high quality volunteers committed to work in our office for a full day every week. There is also the potential for expansion of our board through a long term DPM friend and donor whose profession is in editing and marketing for a professional building magazine. We had a smooth transition to our updated website for easier use and optimization. Poland Two new books, Atonement and Protection from Deception, found open hearts in Polish churches. Romania We successfully completed two printing projects: Bought with Blood and Bought with Blood Study Guide. Serbia Miroslav Fic and Miroslav Cobrda We praise the Lord for the recently published book, The Power of Proclamation. It is the first Serbian book on this topic. We thank God for the donation received from DPM Canada for this project. Slovakia Branislav and Claudia Cekan Praise God for a positive response and good impact from the new teaching letter mailings. Solomon Islands We thank the Lord for Elton, our new full-time staff member and Outreach Coordinator. South Africa Isabel Surgeon Recently, 3,000 copies of Appointment in Jerusalem in Afrikaans were printed, and 900 copies have gone out to members of a Christian book club in Johannesburg. We are receiving good reports from those who have read it, including my 88-year-old father. We have had some incredible testimonies recently: A man just heard the radio broadcast on How to Overcome Evil. He said it was the first thing that really penetrated his spirit. He was backslidden and had been in a homosexual relationship and has AIDS as a result. But he was more concerned that he is right with the Lord than even the consequences of AIDS. He has recommitted his life to the Lord and has been experiencing so many miracles of restoration in his family. His daughter asked him how she could receive the Lord. He explained it to her and she accepted the Lord and was baptized in water! The Power of Proclamation has been translated into Northern Sotho. Radio Pulpit is aired nationwide and Derek s program time was changed from 10:45 pm to 2:00 am and 5:00 am. When listeners could not get it at the usual time, they phoned in to complain. One lady was angry as she said Derek s teaching is her spiritual food and has helped her to mature. We have been getting responses from listeners who are now tuning in at 5:00 am requesting the broadcasts and other material. A church between Johannesburg and Pretoria bought 60 copies of Bought with Blood (Atonement) and will be buying more for their congregation. The pastor said Derek s teaching is solid Bible teaching which is lacking these days. He also bought a large quantity of God s Plan for Your Money. Uganda Isabel Surgeon In Uganda, 5,000 copies of the Luganda translation of Life-Changing Spiritual Power are being printed. This project is being undertaken by the DPM Asia/Pacific office in New Zealand. Page 9
