For specific or updated information, readers should contact the Intercede International office Intercede International CELEBRATING 60 YEARS OF INDIGENOUS MISSIONS Hear Their Hearts, See Their World TRIBUTES FROM LEADERS OVERSEAS ORISSA FOLLOW-UP, ORISSA STATE, INDIA We are so encouraged by the results achieved by partnering with Intercede International in Orissa, India. The life- changing missionary progress is possible only because of the sacrificial contributions of the churches and people of Canada. With the financial assistance from Intercede International we were able to procure Christian literature, and over 100,000 Bibles and New Testaments over a 10-year period. We are also thankful for contributions towards missionary support. The sacrificial contributions received from Intercede International are passed on to missionaries who are working in the rural and tribal areas of Odisha. Because of the bicycles and motorcycles donated by Intercede International for missionaries, the momentum of church growth has been greatly enhanced. Through the contribution received from Intercede International we were able to conduct relief programs in the many disaster-affected areas of Odisha and significant help was received from Intercede International to reduce the suffering of the disaster and flood victims. Our Rainbow Child Development Centre was used for the wellbeing of 130 orphan/semi-orphan children of Odisha. Persecuted pastors and believers families have been provided with mercy services, legal assistance and relief service during their time of hardship. From our hearts we express our gratitude to Intercede International and continue to pray for the richest blessings for years to come. GOOD SAMARITAN MISSION UKRAINE, RUSSIA, CIS AND CENTRAL ASIA Evangelist preaches to a crowd. After the Revolution in Russia in 1917, for 70 years atheism and communism tried to destroy Christianity.

Historically Ukraine was a mission base to make disciples, witness and preach the Good News to more than 170 ethnic "nations" in the former U.S.S.R.

In 1985 in Ukraine Good Samaritan Mission was established as part of the underground Christian movement in Ukraine and Russia. WHEN FREEDOM FINALLY CAME In 1987, when freedom finally came, Rev.

By His grace over a period of 20 years, Good Samaritan opened more than 450 new churches and distributed hundreds of thousands of New Testaments, Bibles and Christian brochures.

We still are preaching by radio to more than 100 million people weekly, and our four television programs per week in 135 countries touch millions of unsaved people.

After the Revolution in Russia in 1917, for 70 years atheism and communism tried to destroy Christianity. For all those years Christians were persecuted and worshipped God in underground churches. But there was not a single system that could destroy their faith in God. Historically Ukraine was a mission base to make disciples, witness and preach the Good News to more than 170 ethnic "nations" in the former U.S.S.R. In 1984 a group of missionaries from Ukraine and Belorussia with their leader, Slavik Radchuk, went to Siberia for missions work. In 1985 in Ukraine Good Samaritan Mission was established as part of the underground Christian movement in Ukraine and Russia. WHEN FREEDOM FINALLY CAME In 1987, when freedom finally came, Rev. Radchuk and many others started preaching the Gospel publicly in parks, prisons, stadiums, on radio and television. By His grace over a period of 20 years, Good Samaritan opened more than 450 new churches and distributed hundreds of thousands of New Testaments, Bibles and Christian brochures. In Ukraine more than 5,000 prisoners came to the Lord in Ukraine government jails. We still are preaching by radio to more than 100 million people weekly, and our four television programs per week in 135 countries touch millions of unsaved people. The result is: Up to 7,000 letters per month come in to our office and are mostly from young people asking for Bibles. Many of our Good Samaritan missionaries are working in Central Asia, Crimea, Russia and Ukraine. Rev. James Eagles went many times to preach publicly, help orphanages, and he shared with the leaders from the Central Asia and Caucasus region. Good Samaritan expresses appreciation to James Eagles and all his staff at Intercede International for their prayer and financial support and for informing Christians in Canada to intercede with us for the preaching of the Good News. In April, I was invited to join the Intercede International Conference. The conference and itinerary that followed allowed me to meet other ministers of like faith, and doing the work of the Lord in various places. It was an encouragement to hear their testimonies. At this time, as well, a call was placed for financial support to the Mikhizo Ministries, and the response was fantastic. After receiving the funds that were given, we have so far been able to bring in ministers to minister to the community of Attawapiskat during two different occasions. In August of this summer, we were able to host a children s Bible camp for the week, working along with New Heart Church of Scarborough. They brought in a team to work with children, in drama, singing and art, as well as preaching the wonderful message of Jesus Christ. In August, the community of Attawapiskat offered support from the council as well and we shall be meeting with them to work on details and suggestions as to how we can better serve the youth of Attawapiskat. There is a building that is allotted for their use, and it is our hope that we can get things going to help youth, find a safe place to hang out, as well as have opportunities to hear the Gospel, and see the Gospel in action. While we are working with the youth, we are in the process of working with Aboriginal Ministries, in the renovations and additions to the Church of Attawapiskat. This project has been years in waiting, and now we are seeing the fruit of our patience. This work would not be as effective without the support of Intercede International. We pray that God will bless you with abundant blessings, to you and your supporters, and all glory to God in this, your 60th anniversary year. STUDENT MISSIONARY OUTREACH, PHILIPPINES We give God the glory for the partnership of Intercede International with Student Missionary Outreach, Philippines. Your active involvement through your intercession and financial support have helped us to continue on with our mission to reach out to the Children and Youth sector of our Country with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Through our joint efforts, God has blessed the ministry with countless of souls saved, changed, and empowered by God to serve Him in full-time ministry. Others who have accepted Christ in their lives through SMO s program of evangelism, discipleship and leadership, become Christian workers, pastors, key leaders and officers in their Christian churches. Through the years of our partnership, the ministry has produced young men and women who are now responsible parents and citizens serving our Country as well as in some other parts of the world. Intercede International has played a vital role in the advancement of God's Kingdom here on earth. Thank you, brethren, for your love for the Lord and for His people. GOOD SAMARITAN INDIA I still remember the day and the time when I had visited the Intercede office in 2004 in Fort Erie, Ontario. With a warm welcome they welcomed me and I had a nice talk with the loving people, and also received the information that I needed from them. I came back to my country, India and became very busy in the ministry. The days were passing and I was simply doing ministry with very small growth. Again, I had an opportunity to write a few words to Intercede International President, Brother James Eagles, through one of my friends--a pastor from the Niagara region. I met with Pastor Herrera from Intercede in Niagara Falls, N.Y., along with Intercede board member and my friend, Rev. Thom Braun. I still remember that day and how Rev. Herrera heard my entire ministry situation and suggested me to send a request to Intercede International. Yes, God made a miracle through Intercede international. I don t like to just praise Intercede International, but I love to say that God is using this ministry to connect the needy here in India to the loving hearts in Canada to pray and support. Yes, I humbly, say to you all, God is interceding with the loving hearts in Canada through Intercede International around the globe. I pray that God may bless this humble organization and provide even more growth to support His people around the globe to preach His Gospel. It is my desire and prayer to God that He may continue to use and bless the ministry of Intercede International through this 60th Anniversary and also continue until His glorious Second Coming! Rev. It has been two decades since our bonding with you and it has been purely God sent into our lives. Year after year, God s faithfulness and provisions have been manifested to us through your timely financial help and prayer support. Our ongoing work in Mumbai slums stands as a testimony to this. Many times like the time God sent ravens that fed Elijah in the valley of Cherith has Intercede International been to our Mission. God has raised up Intercede International and His people in Canada in these end times according to His divine plan and purpose to uphold and strengthen the struggling ministries of Third World countries. India being a highly populated country, but with only about seven percent Christians, the financial aid sent by you has gone a long way in sowing the seed of the Gospel and reaching out to this largely Hindu population--through signs and miracles, healings and deliverances from demonic bondages. Many souls have been won to Christ, and the Church, the body of Christ, has seen a tremendous growth in the history of India. You have definitely played a major part in reaching out to this city of Mumbai. Our prayers and best wishes are for you, Rev. James Eagles, and to all your staff and well-wishers who are standing with you on this occasion, that God would bless you greatly and strengthen your hands more and more, enlarge your territories, that you would continue the excellent work you are doing for the glory of God, and that many more souls worldwide would be added to His kingdom through this Mission. With your support we have been able to open new mission fields, support many missionaries who labour in difficult areas; and also provide motorcycles, bicycles, and horses to help mobilize and provide transportation to them. You are the best instrument that God is using in our ministry to facilitate the expansion of HIS Kingdom, allowing us to train, and better prepare our missionaries to fulfil the Great Commission that our Lord commanded us. Also with your support we are carrying on many social/relief programs to all the regions and distant places. Among others, we have been able to build schools, drill wells, improving the life of the people living in those areas.
