1 Ratio Christi Symposium/Student Retreat Details Transportation We will not be coordinating individual transportation for all attendees this year. A Van Shuttle will be available for Ratio Christi staff, students, and speakers for many of the needs. Advance notice, coordination and payment with the van service (Trisha Trosclair) is required. Contact Trisha directly with your travel details. There will be three pick-up times available each day. The flat rate cost is $25 per person for those who pre-register for one of the scheduled pick-up times and pay Trisha by Oct. 8. The cost for an individual trip is $40 for the first person and $10 for each additional person. National Conference on Christian Apologetics (NCCA): Oct Ratio Christi is hosting our events in conjunction with the National Conference on Christian Apologetics (NCCA) on Oct in Charlotte, NC, but at a different location. If you wish to attend, but are not already registered go here: until midnight on Thursday, Oct. 12. After that, go to the event and register as a walk in. 2 Symposium Details - 2 Registration & Accommodations Students Thank you for participating in the Ratio Christi Student Retreat or Student Apologetics Weekend. If you signed up for the Student Apologetics Weekend your registration includes both the National Conference on Christian Apologetics (NCCA) and Ratio Christi symposium events. Student Apologetics Weekend: starts Friday morning at NCCA. Ratio Christi Student Retreat starts Saturday evening. If you are less than 18 years old you MUST have your parents or legal guardian sign the form and get it to us as soon as possible before the event. You can sign the Ratio Christi form online here We will also have extra copies available at check in. Lodging Student Retreat and Symposium attendees are welcome to stay at Heritage International Ministries Conference Retreat Center (HIM; location on previous page). The rooms (double occupancy) are not included in the standard event registration cost. Additional nights, if needed before or after the event, can be obtained for $40 per night per person during registration (double occupancy; $80/night for your own room). Room Assignments: If you signed up for sharing a room you will be given your roommate name at time of check in unless you made a request during registration. Most rooms are double occupancy with two double beds in each room. If your spouse is attending with you we have attempted to put you in a room with a king-sized bed. We often assign individuals with roommates from a different university or ministry. This is a time to get to know new friends as well as be with old friends. Please make the most of the time to build relationships with people outside your immediate circles. If there are any concerns with room assignments or other accommodations questions please contact Larry Baxter ( ; larrybaxter@ratiochristi.org) and we will do our best to assist you. Lodging Check-in: If you are lodging at Heritage International Ministries Conference Center, please check-in anytime throughout the day at the Front Desk near the Main Entrance (opposite end of the building from the banquet hall; see map of building). Please check-in and have your luggage in your room no later than 6:00 pm as the banquet will start at 6:30 pm sharp. Ratio Christi Conference Registration: HIM Upon arrival at HIM (Saturday afternoon/evening) go to the Banquet Entrance shown on the map on the north end of the building. You will receive a conference booklet and name tag lanyard which you should keep with you at all times during the weekend. Student Registration: At check-in students will select a Deep Dive track for Sunday. See next page. Check-Out: Please note that you will need to be checked out of your room by Sunday morning at 11:00 am. As the morning schedule is full, we suggest that you check out prior to breakfast. There will be room in the Grand Ballroom to put your luggage during the day Sunday if your transportation is not available for storage.

Bridges A Case for the Immateriality of Consciousness and the Soul ~ Dr. J. P. Moreland Get ready to have a mind-bending experience digging into three different philosophical issues related to Christianity by top scholars on their respective topics. Choice #2: Deep Dive in NT History o Attend this semi-plenary session: Undesigned Coincidences -- Adding DEPTH to Your Apologetic ~ Dr. Tim McGrew o Secular Evidences for the Gospels & Acts: Just the FACTS ~ Dr. Tim McGrew o The Resurrection: Evidence that Jesus is ALIVE ~ Dr. Tim McGrew o Embarrassing Details in the Gospels: A BASIC Overview ~ Dr. Tim McGrew One world-class professor in this field. 5 Symposium Details - 5 Friday, October 13 (Optional; Extra Registration Required for NCCA) Everyone have the option of attending the National Conference on Christian Apologetics (NCCA) hosted by Southern Evangelical Seminary on Friday, October 13. Student transportation note: There will be NO transportation to or from NCCA and the Ratio Christi retreat center on either Friday or Saturday. Students can stay in the HIM hotel on nights in addition to Saturday night, but are "on their own" as RC events do not officially start until Saturday evening. Students are responsible to get to the retreat center by no later than 5:30 pm on Saturday, Oct. 14th if staying in the hotel at the retreat center (to allow time for hotel check-in) or 6:00 pm if staying elsewhere. Students are responsible for their own transportation home on Sunday evening. fast will be available for self-purchase at The Café for anyone staying at Heritage Conference Center between 7:00 am and 8:30 am on Friday morning 7:45 am Recommended departure time to leave HIM Center to go to NCCA - No transportation is provided. The dinner will begin to be served at 5:00 pm and go until 6:30 pm. It will be an informal, boxed dinner pickup in a room where RC leaders and partners can fellowship. This is NOT a served sitdown dinner and there is no planned program for the dinner, though there are some seats and tables. RC Guitar Jam Bring your guitar (electric or acoustic) and throw down your best jam with the rest. Don t have your guitar? We ll have a couple guitars for you to use. Location: Grand Ballroom. During this time, please stay in the conference center wing of the building and do not talk or make noise in the "Main Street" area or other lodging areas of the building as there are other guests. Please be in your rooms at the conference center or leave for your lodging elsewhere by no later than 2 am. Sunday, October 15 - Symposium and Student Retreat Check-Out: You will need to be checked out of your room by 11 am Sunday morning. As the morning schedule is full, we suggest that you check out prior to breakfast.
